You know what caught me off guard about Centrum Apartments Pstrossova? The moment you step inside, it actually feels like someone’s well-appointed Prague flat rather than a typical hotel. I mean, the building itself sits on this quiet side street just off the main tourist drag, and honestly, that’s kind of perfect – you’re close enough to everything but you won’t have drunk groups stumbling past your windows at 2 AM.

The apartments themselves are surprisingly spacious for Prague standards, and I love that they’ve kept some of the original architectural details while updating everything that actually matters. The kitchenettes are properly equipped (not just a mini-fridge and a prayer), which is clutch if you want to grab fresh bread from the bakery around the corner or pick up some of those incredible Czech pastries without paying hotel breakfast prices. Speaking of location, you’re literally a five-minute walk to Národní Street, and from there you can catch the tram pretty much anywhere – the 17 and 18 lines run constantly during the day. The staff actually knows the neighborhood too, which sounds basic but you’d be amazed how many places can’t tell you where to find a decent late-night bite.

What really sells me on this place is the attention to practical stuff that most travelers don’t think about until they need it. The Wi-Fi doesn’t mysteriously cut out every few hours, the water pressure is solid (trust me, this matters after walking cobblestones all day), and the beds are actually comfortable – not that firm European mattress situation that leaves you feeling like you slept on a park bench. The soundproofing is pretty good too, which is saying something in a city where buildings are centuries old and walls can be thin. I stayed here during shoulder season and it was perfectly quiet, though I imagine summer might be different with more foot traffic. The check-in process is smooth – they send you the apartment details ahead of time so you’re not standing around looking confused with your luggage. And honestly, for a 4-star place with an 8.9 rating, the value feels right. You’re not paying for a fancy lobby you’ll never use, but you’re getting the space and independence that makes a longer Prague stay actually enjoyable instead of cramped.

  What could be improved: Poets was niet grondig gebeurd. Checkout (10u op zondag) was vroeg en 2 van de 4 slaapkamers zijn klein en slecht geïsoleerd.

  What could be improved: Malheureusement le chauffe eau était hors service. Mes enfants n'ont pas pu prendre leur douche après une journée de ballade sous la pluie. La répartition à été effectuée 15min avant notre départ et nous n'avons pas pu rester plus longtemps. Pas de compensation proposée
