Hotel Description
You know what caught me off guard about Central Studios? It’s tucked into this surprisingly quiet corner of Žižkov, which honestly feels like discovering Prague’s best-kept secret. I mean, everyone flocks to Old Town or Lesser Town, but here you’re living where actual Czechs hang out – complete with the legendary beer halls and that slightly gritty, authentic vibe that makes Žižkov so addictive.
The studios themselves are exactly what you’d want if you’re planning to actually live in Prague for a bit rather than just tourist your way through it. Each one’s got a proper kitchenette (not those sad hotel mini-fridges), and the beds are surprisingly decent – I’m talking real sleep, not that stiff hotel mattress nonsense. The whole building has this converted apartment feel, which makes sense because, well, that’s basically what it is. What really works is how they’ve kept things simple but functional. The WiFi actually works for video calls (tested it extensively), and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without feeling like you’re living in a shoebox. The bathrooms are compact but thoughtfully designed – someone clearly put effort into making small spaces work efficiently.
Location-wise, you’re about a fifteen-minute walk to Wenceslas Square, but honestly, you’ll probably find yourself spending more time exploring the neighborhood itself. There’s this fantastic Vietnamese restaurant just around the corner that locals queue up for, and the farmers market on Saturdays at Jiřího z Poděbrad (about ten minutes away) is where you’ll find the best bread and cheese in the city. The nearest metro stop is Jiřího z Poděbrad on the green line, which gets you anywhere you need to go pretty efficiently. One heads up though – Žižkov can get a bit lively on weekend nights, especially near the bars on Korunní street, but the actual location of Central Studios stays relatively peaceful. I noticed most of the noise dies down by midnight anyway. The 8.3 rating makes total sense when you consider what you’re getting – it’s not luxury, but it’s smart, clean, and perfectly positioned for people who want to experience Prague beyond the tourist bubble. Plus, the value is genuinely solid, especially compared to what you’d pay for similar space in the more obvious neighborhoods.

Reviews
Enjoyable! – Maria from Australia – 20 May 2025 (9/10)
Great location, very close to the tram line that goes to Old Town and other tourist spots. The room was clean and comfortable, very large and comfy pillows! My room also has a small fridge which is not common with lots of European hotels at this price point.
Also very helpful staff!Amazing. Central Studios would be something to recommend for every friend of mine. – Agata from Poland – 18 May 2025 (8/10)
Staff! Peter provided us with directions how to get to the flat. Additionally, the shared space had the map so we could easily navigate. I also appreciated that our room had a list. Restaurants, bars, the cheapest ways to move around Prague and so on. It was helpful for foreigners 🙂
What could be improved: Missing essentials – While we have seen what we may expect from the room, we didn't have plates nor bowls. So eating breakfast was a nightmare.
Also, anything allowing us to heat up food (beside the kettle that the room had) would be helpful. We didn't have much luck with the weather, so we were stuck either for instant soups for small cups or going to nearby restaurants. Even a small microwave in shared space would do the trick.Superb – Andrada from Romania – 22 November 2024 (9/10)
The room was really spacious and equipped with a water kettle and a minifridge. The host left us lots of tea bags and coffee. It’s super close to a tram station that has very good connections with the city center. For the price it was perfect! Perfect communication with the host
What could be improved: It was extremely cold the first night even though they said the warming system works on a thermostat, but upon request they changed the settings and the room got super warm!We rested very well – Filip from Poland – 26 September 2024 (9/10)
It was a very pleasant stay. We rested very well, it was mostly silent and the beds were really comfy and big. The blinds were good. They had the light switch on both sides + electrical outlets. The shower had warm water and comfortable shower-head.
Both main room and toilet had trash bins. We received 3 towels which also were clean and comfy. The location of the TV was also comfy. Overall, very good price for the quality received.
What could be improved: No plates / forks / sponge / dish soap, but that's the only thing we found to be missing, every other small details were there! Also, the corridor before you enter the room had a chlorine scent, but that's a minor thing that they could've fixed somehow (just a small suggestion). The TV crashed twice after ~30 minutes of watching something on YT on both nights without the ability to restart it, maybe because of the wifi. The perfect base for a few days exploring Prague – Angus from United Kingdom – 23 September 2024 (9/10)
Fantastic location. Only 15 minutes ( max) walk from central station, close to parks, supermarket and great restaurants, but still nice and quiet. Excellent facilities, really all that you need for an independent, self contained base in the centre of the city. Peter was super friendly and helpful, with clear instructions and great recommendations for food and transport. If we come back to Prague, Central Station Studios would be first on my list of places to stay on a limited budget.
Good value for money – Thushari from United Kingdom – 16 August 2024 (9/10)
Central Studios was a good location and the hosts, Peter and Vasyl were lovely.
The place was clean and had all the necessities, having a fridge and a fan was very useful in the heat.
What could be improved: NothingGreat place to stay – Grzegorz from Poland – 14 August 2024 (9/10)
The place was great, it was well kept, clean, big, there was a fridge and utensils to make a coffee and tea. Bathroom was super nice. The room was within 5min walk to big store (Lidl) and well-connected tram stop. It was quiet and safe.
What could be improved: The AC device in the room was making it warmer instead of cooler. There was some misunderstanding regarding the payment and the owner should be nicer about it, especially that the fault was on his side, it wouldve been a 10/10 if it wasnt for that.A good place to explore the city at a most convenient price. – Cla from Romania – 26 January 2024 (9/10)
Clean, straightforward, no nonsense accomodation. Free coffee and tea. Fridge. Comfortable, quiet, more than adequately heated (whilst outside temp was below 10 degrees centigrade at least during nightime).
What could be improved: There's nothing not to like there.5 stars – Karolina from Poland – 2 October 2023 (8/10)
The room was clean, very nice standard, a loot of amenities like fan, kitchen and bathroom appliances, nice tv with netflix. Location was really good, very close to the city, bus stops, shops etc.
What could be improved: Reception was late for our arrival and we had to wait on the streetGood – Elif from Germany – 12 September 2023 (7/10)
-There are coffee, milk and variety of tea available in the room.
-The facilities were so good that there was even a shoehorn in the room! 🙂
-The room was indeed very clean.
What could be improved: -The humidity was the biggest problem. You can smell it in the room and sometimes it disturbs a lot.
-The room was not fancy as it seems in the photos.
