Celebration Flat by Ruterra

Prague, Czech Republic
Legerova 616/78, Vinohrady, Prague, 120 00, Czech Republic

Overview

Look, I’ll be honest – when I first heard “Celebration Flat,” I was expecting something pretty cheesy, maybe with balloons in the lobby or something. But this place on Legerova actually surprised me in the best way. It’s tucked into Vinohrady, which honestly is one of those Prague neighborhoods that feels more like where locals actually live rather than tourist central. You know what I mean? You’ll walk past actual Czech families heading to the bakery instead of dodging selfie sticks every five minutes.

The building itself has that solid Central European feel – thick walls that actually keep street noise out (thank god, because Legerova can get busy during rush hour). Inside, Ruterra clearly put some thought into the design without going overboard. The flats feel spacious in a way that most Prague accommodations just… don’t. I mean, you can actually open your suitcase without having to close the bathroom door first. The kitchenettes are properly equipped too – not just for show like in some places. There’s a Tesco just a few blocks down Korunní if you want to grab groceries, and honestly, making coffee in your own space beats hotel lobby coffee every time.

What really won me over though is the location situation. You’re far enough from Old Town to avoid the tourist chaos, but the metro connection at Náměstí Míru gets you anywhere you need to be in like fifteen minutes. Plus – and this is something you only figure out after staying in Prague a few times – you’re walking distance from some genuinely good local spots. That little park area around the church is perfect for morning runs, and there’s this café on Korunní (I think it’s called Café Savoy’s smaller cousin or something) where you can get proper Czech pastries without the markup. The whole Vinohrady vibe is just more relaxed, you know? Tree-lined streets, neighborhood restaurants where the menu isn’t in five languages, that sort of thing.

Now, it’s a solid 4-star setup, but don’t expect anyone to carry your bags or remember your name – this is more independent apartment living than hotel service. Which honestly worked for me, but if you need daily housekeeping or a concierge, maybe look elsewhere. The 7.8 rating feels about right – it’s reliably good without being flashy. Check-in was smooth enough, though I’d recommend confirming arrival times because it’s not like a big hotel with 24-hour front desk coverage. Oh, and if you’re driving, parking around there can be a bit of a puzzle, but there’s a garage nearby if you don’t mind paying for the convenience.

Bottom line? If you want to stay somewhere that feels less like a tourist bubble and more like temporary Prague living, this place delivers. It’s comfortable, well-located for exploring beyond the castle-and-bridge circuit, and priced reasonably for what you get. Just don’t expect it to blow your mind – sometimes reliable and well-situated is exactly what you need.

Hotels in Prague offer guests the perfect blend of Gothic grandeur and modern comfort, with many featuring traditional Czech beer concierge services and medieval architecture to enhance the authentic Central European cultural experience.

Property was in a good location and 4 good sized bedrooms

What could be improved: When having a shower the water tended to go cold. Couldn’t get the TV to work (that might just have been me that couldn’t do it though🤷‍♀️ )
