Honestly, when I first walked up to CE Apartment Prague Castle on Zborovská street, I wasn’t sure what to expect – the entrance is sort of tucked away in this quiet residential area that feels a million miles from the tourist crowds, even though you’re literally a ten-minute walk from Prague Castle. That’s actually the genius of this place, you know? You get these gorgeous apartment-style rooms with proper kitchens and living spaces, but you’re staying in Lesser Town (Malá Strana for the locals), which means you can stumble home from the best pubs in Prague without dealing with tram schedules or those brutal cobblestone hills in heels.

The apartments themselves are what really sold me though – I mean, these aren’t your typical cramped hotel rooms with a sad mini-fridge. We’re talking full-sized spaces that actually feel like someone’s stylish Prague flat, complete with those high ceilings and tall windows that let in this amazing golden light in the afternoons. The kitchen was properly equipped too, which came in handy since there’s a Tesco just around the corner on Újezd, and honestly, having morning coffee while looking out at the castle spires never got old. What surprised me was how quiet it was at night – Zborovská is residential enough that you don’t get the party noise from Wenceslas Square, but you’re still close enough to walk to Kampa Island or cross the Legion Bridge into New Town whenever you want. The only minor thing (and I’m really nitpicking here) is that some of the apartments are on higher floors and there’s no elevator, so if you’re hauling heavy luggage, maybe mention any mobility concerns when you book.

But here’s what really makes this place special – the staff actually knows Prague, not just the tourist version. They pointed us toward this incredible wine bar called Bazaar Belmondo that we never would’ve found otherwise, and gave us the real scoop on which castle entrances have shorter lines (hint: not the main one everyone uses). Plus, with a 9.4 rating, you know other travelers are having the same experience. The location works perfectly whether you’re here for romance – those sunset walks along the Vltava are right there – or if you’re trying to see the real Prague beyond the astronomical clock crowds. You’ll pay a bit more than some generic hotel near the train station, but honestly, waking up in Lesser Town and having an actual apartment to spread out in? Totally worth it, especially if you’re staying more than a couple nights.

Well equiped property (from coffee machine to full fridge), great view from terrace, really spacious, close to river for a nice walk to city center. Whole house is from art deco era, has a lift.

Everything was fantastic. Petr took such good care of us. I would highly recommend this property. He dropped by the first night we were there and left plenty of food for breakfasts. He checked in to make sure we were happy with everything. The apartment was lovely and warm. Very nice kitchen. Fantastic use of space. The shower was brilliant.

What could be improved: There's nothing I can think of.
