Hotel Description

You know what struck me first about Casa Nuova? It’s got this perfect sweet spot thing going on – you’re basically in the heart of Prague but on one of those quieter side streets where you can actually think. Krocínova is just off the main tourist drag, which honestly is exactly where you want to be. I mean, you can walk to Old Town Square in maybe ten minutes, but you’re not dealing with the constant stream of tour groups marching past your window at 7 AM. The building itself has that classic Prague charm – you know, the kind where you feel like you’re staying somewhere with actual history, not just another glass box hotel.

The rooms are what I’d call thoughtfully done. Nothing too fancy, but everything actually works (which, let’s be real, isn’t always a given in some of the older Prague hotels). The beds are properly comfortable – not too soft, not like sleeping on a board – and they’ve clearly put some thought into the little stuff. Good water pressure in the shower, outlets where you actually need them, decent wifi that doesn’t cut out every five minutes. I particularly liked that they’ve managed to keep some of the original architectural details without making it feel like a museum. The staff seems to genuinely know the neighborhood too, which makes a difference when you’re trying to figure out where to grab dinner that isn’t just tourist-trap goulash.

Location-wise, this is where Casa Nuova really shines. You’re close enough to Wenceslas Square that you can easily hop on the metro or trams, but far enough away that you’re not swimming through crowds every time you step outside. There’s this great little café around the corner – honestly can’t remember the name, but they do proper Czech coffee and pastries – and you’re walking distance to some of the better local restaurants. Parking can be a bit tricky if you’re driving (Prague old town streets weren’t exactly designed for cars), but there are options nearby. The whole Vinohrady area is just really liveable, you know? It feels like you’re staying in an actual neighborhood rather than a tourist zone. For a 4-star place, it delivers on what matters without any unnecessary bells and whistles, and that 8 rating feels about right – solid, reliable, and genuinely pleasant without being flashy about it.

Reviews

  • Very good – Gökay from Turkey – 30 June 2025 (8/10)

    Ev merkezi konumdaydı

Geniş olması ve içerisinde 2 tuvalet olması avantajlıydı.

    Mutfak yenilenmişti

What could be improved: Ev ile anahtar alınan yer arası maalesef pek yakın değil.
