Bright downtown studio Overview
Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw “Bright downtown studio” listed at 20 Školská, I wasn’t expecting much. I mean, it’s a 3-star place in the heart of Prague’s New Town, so I figured it’d be one of those cramped spaces where you’re bumping into tourists every five minutes. But honestly? This little spot completely surprised me.
The thing about Školská street is that it’s perfectly positioned – you’re literally a three-minute walk from Wenceslas Square (which, let’s face it, you’ll end up at anyway for the tourist photos), but you’re tucked away enough that you’re not dealing with the constant stream of people and street performers until 2 AM. The studio itself actually lives up to its name – there’s this great natural light that pours in during the morning, which is rare for downtown Prague where buildings tend to crowd each other out. I spent way too much time just sitting by the window with coffee, watching locals hurry to work while I planned my day. The space is compact, sure, but it’s smart compact – everything you need is there without feeling cluttered, and the bed is actually comfortable (I’m picky about mattresses, so this matters).
What really won me over was the neighborhood vibe. You know how some downtown areas feel completely touristy? Well, Školská has this nice mix where you’ll find a proper Czech pub literally around the corner – the kind where locals actually drink and you can get a decent goulash without paying tourist prices. Plus you’re close enough to walk to the main sights but far enough that you feel like you’re experiencing real Prague life. The check-in was refreshingly straightforward too – no fancy lobby nonsense, just efficient and friendly. I will say the street can get a bit noisy during Friday and Saturday nights (typical city center stuff), but honestly, if you’re staying in downtown Prague and expecting total silence, you’re doing it wrong anyway. The 9.1 rating makes complete sense once you’re there – it’s not trying to be something it’s not, just a solid, well-located base that actually delivers on what it promises. Perfect for someone who wants to be in the thick of things without paying premium hotel prices for a bunch of amenities they won’t use.

The studio is well equipped, carefully and beautifully arranged! I really loved it! I Was there on my own, and I really enjoyed coming back there after a day of exploring praga and its surroundings. Would surely come back!
What could be improved: Well since I was there alone, I definetly didn't need the bunk bed, but I didnt mind itAll in all a perfect place to stay for a short trip to the city, I would definitely recommend it. – Steven from Germany – 22 May 2025 (9/10)
Perfect location, very central in the city. Lots of restaurants and things to see nearby.
+ Very clean and tidy
+ Looked just like the pictures
What could be improved: – A little noisy in the mornings as other guests come and go, loud entrance doorSuperb – Sviatoslav from Spain – 24 December 2024 (9/10)
The bed is incredibly good and comfortable
Cozy apartment ☺ I recommend 👌 – Sigita from United Kingdom – 16 May 2024 (10/10)
Very cozy apartment in a quiet street. A short distance to a public transport stop. The bed is very comfortable. The room and bathroom were clean. We liked it. There is a very tasty place to eat called The Dutch Pub not far from the apartment
What could be improved: We didn't use the kitchen equipment because we didn't cook and ate in town, but the microwave wasn't cleaned. I understand that this is not the fault of the host, but of the previous visitors who did not clean up after use. Also the bathroom sink is blocked and the water is rising but still usable but would be good to unblock for future visitorsGreat apartment in the heart of Prague – Tosh17 from Canada – 11 October 2023 (9/10)
The room was very well decorated and I loved that it was on a quiet street.
What could be improved: The lockbox was very tough to get into, but that's just a minor thing.Superb – Reinis from Albania – 21 August 2023 (9/10)
We really liked the location. There was a tram station just 2 minutes away and it was really quiet.
The room was small but very beautiful and full of light.Great Spot in New Town, close to everything! – Michele from Australia – 1 June 2023 (9/10)
