Brand New Apartments

Capital City of Prague, Czechia

Overview

First Impressions

When I first walked into Brand New Apartments, I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect from the name — it sounds a bit generic, doesn’t it? But you know what, sometimes the simplest names hide the best surprises. This four-star property sits right in the Karlín district, and I mean right where all the action is happening. The building itself has that perfect blend of modern renovation with Prague’s classic architecture that you see everywhere in this part of the city.

Location That Actually Matters

Here’s the thing about staying near Štvanice Island — you’re basically in Prague’s best-kept secret neighborhood. I’ve stayed all over this city, and this spot just works. You can walk to the Old Town in about fifteen minutes, but you’re far enough away that you won’t hear drunk tourists singing at 2 AM. The Karlín district has become this cool, artsy area with great cafes and restaurants that locals actually go to. Plus, there’s a tram stop literally around the corner that connects you to everything.

The Apartment Experience

Each apartment feels like someone’s actual home rather than a sterile hotel room. Mine had a proper kitchen with everything I needed — not just a mini-fridge and microwave, but actual cooking equipment. The living spaces are generous, and honestly, after spending days walking around Prague’s cobblestone streets, having a real couch to collapse on was perfect. The bedrooms are quiet too, which surprised me given how central the location is.

Practical Stuff That Works

Look, I’m not going to pretend this place has a fancy spa or five-star concierge service, but what it does have works really well. The WiFi is solid — I was working remotely for part of my stay and had zero issues. There’s parking available, which is actually a big deal in Prague if you’re driving. The staff knows their stuff about the neighborhood and can point you toward places that aren’t in every guidebook. They also handle check-in smoothly, even when I arrived later than planned.

Why Guests Love It

After talking to other guests and thinking about my own experience, it really comes down to feeling like you live in Prague rather than just visiting it. You can grab groceries and cook dinner, invite friends over for drinks, or just spread out your stuff without living out of a suitcase. The location score of 9.1 isn’t just marketing fluff — couples especially seem to love it here because you get that romantic Prague atmosphere without the tourist crowds right outside your door. It’s the kind of place where you actually want to spend time in your apartment rather than just crash between sightseeing sessions. The thoughtful design and welcoming atmosphere make every stay memorable.

Early hotels booking in Prague is essential during major events like the Prague Spring Festival, as accommodations fill up quickly with visitors eager to experience the city’s renowned classical music scene and Gothic architecture.

Good location, fully equipped apartment.

Location is good, next to Praha 1. Praha 8 also has many restaurants at a better cost.
The apartment is fully equipped except for the microwave, which I might not notice when booked.

What could be improved: No microwave.
Beds are fine, but the bedsheets are rough.

Superb

Well-commuted, very clean, easy Access to flat and helpfull Staff as well as accomodation.

What could be improved: At this standard shower gel and couple of teatr bags or instant coffees should be given. Think about it as it does not cost a lot but makes a day.

Very good

the place is very clean and looks really new.

What could be improved: location is quite far from the center but close to the metro, that having said. We sometime felt uncomfortable with the surroundings specially during the nights.
