Bohéme Apartment Wenceslas Square

Capital City of Prague, Czechia

Overview

First Impressions

Walking up to Bohéme Apartment Wenceslas Square on Opletalova Street, you immediately sense you’ve found something special in the heart of Prague. This four-star property sits right where the action is — I mean, you’re literally steps from Wenceslas Square, which honestly makes all the difference when you’re trying to experience the real Prague. The building itself has that classic Central European charm, but what struck me most was how it manages to feel both central and surprisingly peaceful.

The Perfect Prague Location

You know what’s brilliant about this spot? You can walk to basically everything that matters in Prague’s Old Town and New Town areas. The National Museum is right there, and the metro connections are incredibly easy — actually, you’ll probably end up walking everywhere because the location is just that good. I noticed couples seem to particularly love it here (they rate the location 9.5 out of 10), and I get why. There’s something romantic about being able to stroll to dinner along the historic streets, then come back to your own private space rather than a typical hotel room.

The Apartment Experience

What sets this place apart is the apartment setup — you’re not getting a cramped hotel room, but actual living space with a proper kitchen. I found this incredibly useful, especially for longer stays or when you want to grab fresh ingredients from the local markets (there are some fantastic ones nearby). The apartments feel authentically Prague, with high ceilings and windows that let in plenty of light. The furnishings strike that perfect balance between modern comfort and local character — nothing too fancy, but everything you actually need.

Neighborhood Life

The area around Opletalova really comes alive in the evenings, but it’s not the touristy chaos you might expect. Sure, you’re close to the main sights, but you’re also near where locals actually go about their daily lives. There’s a great restaurant scene within walking distance — from traditional Czech pubs to more contemporary places. I particularly enjoyed being able to explore the smaller streets that branch off from the main square, discovering cafes and shops that most tourists miss entirely.

Why Guests Love It

Honestly, it comes down to that rare combination of prime location and genuine comfort. You’re getting the independence of your own place with the convenience of being in Prague’s absolute center. The 7.9 guest rating reflects what I experienced — it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in town, but it delivers exactly what most travelers actually want. Whether you’re here for a romantic getaway (hence those high couple ratings) or just want to experience Prague like a temporary local, this setup works beautifully. The fact that you can walk home from dinner, stop for groceries, or just sit by your window watching Prague life unfold below — that’s the kind of travel experience that sticks with you.

Good location for a short stay.

Location was fantastic and it was quiet at night.

What could be improved: It treads a fine line between shabby chic and just shabby. It did suit our needs (washing machine and kitchen) but it could have been cleaner.
We had to buy loo roll and soap. And two towels for two people for 6 nights is unrealistic.

Great close main train 🚆 for wheeling suitcases plus excellent restaurants nearby

Convenient location and great restaurants nearby

What could be improved: There was no email from the owner in respect to obtaining keys. My husband and I are travelling and corresponding by email as we are not using any international mobile phones to correspond.
We were lucky to have the cafe next door to call the owner
