So I ended up at Blue Orange Resort during my last Prague trip, and honestly? It’s one of those places that surprises you in the best way. The name sounds a bit quirky – I mean, blue orange, really? – but once you’re there, it actually makes sense with their whole color scheme thing they’ve got going on.

The location on Tupolevova is pretty solid if you know Prague at all. You’re not right in the tourist madness of Old Town (which, let’s be real, can be overwhelming), but you’re also not stuck way out in some random suburb. It’s in that sweet spot where you can actually get a decent night’s sleep – and trust me, after walking around those cobblestones all day, you’ll appreciate not having drunk backpackers stumbling around outside your window at 3 AM. The tram connections are actually really good from here, though I’d recommend grabbing a transport app because the Czech transport system can be… well, let’s just say it has its own logic.

What I really liked about this place was how they’ve managed to feel upscale without being stuffy. The 4-star rating is pretty accurate – you’re getting solid comfort and service, but it’s not trying to be some fancy palace hotel. The staff were genuinely helpful when I needed directions to this tiny traditional pub my Czech friend had recommended (turns out it was only about a 15-minute walk away). Check-in was smooth, no weird hidden fees or surprise charges, which honestly feels rare these days. The rooms have this modern but warm vibe – clean lines but not that cold, minimalist thing that makes you feel like you’re sleeping in an office building. And the beds? Actually comfortable, not just pretty to look at.

I will say the 7.7 rating feels about right. It’s not going to blow your mind, but it delivers on what it promises. The breakfast spread was better than I expected – proper Czech pastries alongside the usual international stuff, and the coffee didn’t taste like it came from a vending machine. Parking was straightforward if you’re driving, though honestly, you probably don’t need a car for most Prague adventures. The neighborhood gets pretty quiet in the evenings, which was perfect for me since I was doing a lot of walking during the day and just wanted to crash at night.

You know what really sold me on this place though? It felt like they actually cared about the guest experience without trying too hard. No over-the-top fake smiles or pushy upselling, just solid hospitality. If you’re looking for somewhere reliable in Prague that won’t eat your entire budget but still feels like a proper treat, Blue Orange Resort hits that mark. It’s the kind of place I’d actually book again – and coming from someone who usually tries different hotels every trip, that’s saying something.

  The apartment with terrace was very interesting , spacious with high sealings. The terace was beautiful. The staff was super friendly and helpful.
  
  What could be improved: The beds on the sofa were not comfortable as there were no.matresses and the cooking advice in the kitchen was not working. For us traveling with small kids was problem.

  The accommodation was genuinely fantastic for the price. The gym being part of the hotel isn't something I'd seen before but thought worked incredibly well. There is also a bar and bistro attached which is reasonably priced and my group spent an entire night just sat outside in the sun getting regular top ups from the bar.
  
  The room was a decent size, came with a fridge and safe and a huge window that can open fully. All key information in the hotel is also written in English.
  
  Next time I visit Prague I will check availability at this hotel first.
  
  What could be improved: The shower was slightly small and leaked, but to be perfectly honest I feel like I'm being slightly picky.

  Room was nice, confortable beds, big window, free parking, breakfast very good.
  
  What could be improved: bathroom was really small, we paid 20 euro for dog (we have 2) that is a crazy cost compared the service they give back so nothing, no dog food, no dog blanket, nothing, 40 euro only because you have dogs with you.
