Black & White Apartment Prague by Wenceslas Square and Muzeum Overview

You know what caught me off guard about this place? The name makes it sound like some minimalist design concept, but honestly, it’s just a really solid apartment-style stay right in the thick of Prague’s action. I mean, when you’re literally a two-minute walk from Wenceslas Square, you’re not exactly hiding away somewhere quiet – and that’s kind of the point.

The location is actually pretty brilliant if you think about it. Krakovská street runs parallel to the main tourist madness, so you get all the benefits without being right on top of the crowds taking selfies at 7 AM. The National Museum is practically next door (which is handy when it’s raining – Prague weather can be moody), and you can walk to Old Town Square in about ten minutes if you cut through the right streets. What I really appreciated was how easy it made getting around – the Muzeum metro station is right there, so day trips or airport runs don’t require any planning gymnastics.

The apartment itself feels more lived-in than hotel-sterile, which I actually prefer. It’s got that practical Eastern European approach to space – everything you need without any fluff. The black and white theme isn’t overwhelming; it’s more like someone just chose a color scheme and stuck with it. Check-in was straightforward, though like most apartment rentals in Prague, you’ll probably coordinate arrival times rather than just showing up whenever. One thing to keep in mind – this is a 3-star setup, so don’t expect a concierge or daily housekeeping, but for the price point and location, it delivers exactly what it promises.

I’d say this works really well if you’re the type who wants to experience Prague like you’re temporarily living there rather than just passing through. The 8.2 rating makes sense to me – it’s not going to wow you with luxury touches, but it won’t disappoint either. The neighborhood comes alive in the evenings, and honestly, there’s something nice about being able to grab groceries at the Tesco down the street or duck into one of the local pubs that tourists haven’t discovered yet. Just be aware that Wenceslas Square can get pretty lively on weekend nights, so if you’re a super light sleeper, maybe pack earplugs – though the trade-off of being able to stumble home after exploring Prague’s legendary nightlife is probably worth it.

  • Amazing – Roberta from Italy – 21 January 2025 (8/10)

  • This apartament had all we needed and more! – Katarzyna from Poland – 27 November 2024 (9/10)

Perfect spot for going into the city, near the subway, and near the best vegan restaurant/cafe which made our stay. Even though it's in the centre, the street is very quiet. We lacked for nothing, it's equipped with everything you need for a short visit (…when you can only fit so much in a carry on…). Highly recommend!

What could be improved: We loved it all except for the wonky mattress :)).

  • Superb – Petra from Slovenia – 8 November 2023 (9/10)

The location was excellent. The apartment is super nice. Everything was available.

What could be improved: The elevator is quite small 🙂

  • great, affordable – Mikołaj from Poland – 4 December 2022 (9/10)

    tidiness, comfort

    What could be improved: nothing

  • Very good – Gato from Portugal – 14 October 2022 (8/10)

a good location and good conditions. everything was clean.

What could be improved: auto service check-in is really bad.

  • Good but with some mishaps. – Michael from United Kingdom – 15 June 2025 (7/10)

What could be improved: Fresh food froze in the fridge. I booked accommodation with a lift their "key" system doesn't allow for use of the lift on departure. That is a mistake and a massive oversight of the needs of guests.
