Look, I’ll be straight with you about the Black Diamond Suite – it’s one of those places that grows on you, especially once you realize you’re literally sleeping on Wenceslas Square. I mean, when I first walked up to number 18, I honestly wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star spot, but the location hit me immediately. You’re right there where all the action happens, which is both amazing and… well, let’s just say bring earplugs if you’re a light sleeper.

The thing about staying here is that you’re in the thick of Prague’s New Town energy. Step outside and you’ve got the National Museum staring you down at the top of the square, trams clattering by every few minutes, and honestly some of the best people-watching in the city. What I really appreciated – and this is something you don’t always get in central Prague – is that the staff actually seemed to know the neighborhood. They pointed me toward this little bakery on Jindřišská (just around the corner) that I never would’ve found otherwise. The rooms themselves are decent enough for the price point – nothing fancy, but the beds are comfortable and everything works. You know what surprised me? The windows are better than I expected for such a busy location. Sure, you’ll hear the square come alive, especially on weekends, but it’s not the disaster I was bracing for.

Here’s the thing though – if you’re the type who wants to experience Prague like locals do, this spot makes sense. You’re a five-minute walk from the Muzeum metro station, so getting anywhere is actually pretty simple. And staying right on Václavské náměstí means you’re witnessing the city’s rhythm firsthand. I watched the morning commuter rush from my window with coffee (the hotel coffee is… well, it’s hotel coffee, but there’s a Café Louvre nearby that’ll sort you out). The 7.7 rating feels about right – it’s not going to blow your mind, but for the location and price, you’re getting solid value. Just don’t expect luxury touches, and maybe pack some comfortable walking shoes because you’ll want to explore everything that’s literally at your doorstep. The check-in was smooth enough, and they’ve got that old European hotel vibe without being stuffy about it. If you’re planning to spend most of your time out exploring anyway, this works really well as your Prague base.

  Lovely apartment near Wenceslas Square, clean and tidy, well-equipped in a quiet apartment building. Shops, restaurants and bars are in the immediate neighbourhood. Our host was kind and the handover of the keys was smooth.
  
  What could be improved: The only negative was that there was only one bathroom, for a large group this was problematic.

  Great comfy beds. Good size TV and plenty of room.
  
  What could be improved: When we arrived booking.com address was incorrect and was very hard to get information about actual address so we ended up wandering around for 2 hours with our cases at night. We got there in the end though. Make sure to ask for the real address and not go off the address tied to the booking. It can be confusing. First time experiencing this with a booking.

  The location of the property is pretty centralised. Even though the street has clubs. It was safe and not loud or noisy. The rooms are spacious and clean. There is Kitchen, washing machine and air con too. The water pressure is also good for showering. There is also a lift inside the building.
  
  What could be improved: The building is quite old and from the entrance, you need to walk pass the rubbish collecting room which smell quite bad.

  The apartment was clean ,though the location was very close to main attractions there was very calm .
  
  What could be improved: The only thing we didn’t like was that the information about possible free parking wasn’t close to the apartment(almost 1km far away) and it took quite long time from as to find some paid parking.

  The apartment was spacious and comfortably accommodated five people, with the option to fit a sixth if needed. Everything we needed was available in the apartment. The building has an elevator, which is good to lift up the luggage.It was clean, with large rooms, a huge TV screen in the living room, and very friendly staff. The location was excellent—just 150 meters from one of Prague’s main streets.
  
  What could be improved: The lift in the building was out of the order the next day of our accomodation.

  What could be improved: Downside has one toilet and one shower. The description on Booking.com is a bit misleading. Reach out to the property manager before booking. We were four adults sharing one shower and one toilet.

  What could be improved: Everything was bad except the location of the apartment. The address shown on Booking was completely wrong and the staff was uninterested and did not give the necessary information about what to do. They are uncommunicative and do not speak English. We found the address of the apartment with difficulty and got the keys. The apartment is old, neglected and dirty.

  Sehr zentral, genug Platz, schöne moderne Einrichtung, alles vorhanden was man braucht
  
  What could be improved: Besser wäre es wenn es eine zweite Toilette gäbe. Ansonsten wäre es auch bei der Größe der Unterkunft sinnvoll mehrere Schlüssel auszugeben.
