Beautifully renovated apartments at Lesser Town

Prague, Czech Republic
26 Malostranské náměstí, Prague, 118 00, Czech Republic

Overview

You know what struck me first about these apartments? Walking into that gorgeous Malostranské náměstí square and realizing you’re actually staying right here – not just visiting for photos like everyone else. I mean, this is literally one of Prague’s most stunning baroque squares, and you get to wake up here every morning while tourists start streaming in around 9am.

The renovation work is honestly impressive – whoever did this really understood how to blend old Prague character with actual modern comfort. The apartments have those high ceilings and original details you’d expect in Lesser Town, but then you’ve got proper kitchens and bathrooms that actually work (trust me, that’s not always a given in these historic buildings). The 9.2 rating makes total sense once you’re inside – it feels way more upscale than the 3-star classification suggests. I think they’re just being modest, or maybe the star system doesn’t know how to handle these kinds of authentic local stays.

What I really love is how you’re positioned here. Kampa Island is basically your backyard – you can walk down there in two minutes for the most peaceful riverside stroll, even when the castle area up the hill is packed with tour groups. And speaking of the castle, it’s right there but you’re far enough down the slope that you don’t get the worst of the crowds. The tram stop at Malostranské náměstí means you can zip over to New Town or Vinohrady super easily, though honestly, you’ll probably find yourself just wandering the cobblestone streets around here most evenings. The whole Nerudova street scene is right at your doorstep – all those little wine bars and traditional pubs that locals actually frequent, not just the touristy spots. Fair warning though: those church bells from St. Nicholas are real and they’re spectacular, but if you’re a super light sleeper, maybe bring earplugs. Personally, I found them charming after the first night, sort of like having your own Prague soundtrack. The square itself gets busy during peak tourist season (especially those summer afternoons), but early mornings and evenings have this magical quality where you feel like you’ve got this incredible piece of history mostly to yourself.

A beautiful apartment in a historic building, close to Charles Bridge. We had everything we needed and the flat was very comfortable. Loved the fact that there was a market just outside one morning and it was next door to the church. A fantastic trip and would love to visit again.

What could be improved: Nothing.

Location was amazing! Apartment was clean. Contactless/virtual check in was easy.

What could be improved: Although the amenities included parking there was no parking at the apartments and parking accommodation had to be made through a third party app that was provided. Although the app made it easier to find parking in the area it basically doubled the price of our stay as it wasn’t included.
