Beautiful New Town Apartment

Overview

First Impressions

Walking up to the Beautiful New Town Apartment on V Jirchářích street, you’ll immediately notice you’re in one of Prague’s most authentic neighborhoods. This four-star property sits on the first floor of a charming building that feels genuinely local — not touristy at all. I mean, you’re literally steps away from Wenceslas Square, but somehow it doesn’t feel overwhelming or crowded here. The entrance has that old-world Prague character, but everything inside feels fresh and well-maintained.

The Heart of New Town

Honestly, the location is what really sets this place apart — couples consistently rate it 9.5, and I totally get why. You’re in New Town (Nové Město), which means you can walk to Old Town Square in about eight minutes, but you’re also surrounded by actual Prague life. There’s a fantastic local pub just around the corner that most tourists never find, and the morning coffee scene on nearby streets is incredible. You know what’s great? You can grab groceries at the Tesco just two blocks away, or if you’re feeling fancy, there’s a beautiful market hall within walking distance.

The Space Itself

The apartment layout actually works really well for travelers who want more than just a hotel room. You’ve got a proper living area where you can spread out your maps and plan your day, plus a small kitchenette that’s perfect for making morning coffee or storing those amazing Czech pastries you’ll inevitably buy too many of. The bedroom feels spacious enough, and — this might sound silly — but the windows open properly, which is surprisingly rare in Prague’s city center. Everything’s clean and modern, though it keeps some of that Central European charm that makes staying here feel special.

Daily Life and Practicalities

Getting around from here is honestly effortless. The Můstek metro station is practically next door, connecting you to both lines A and B, so you can reach Prague Castle or Vinohrady without any hassle. If you’re driving (though I wouldn’t recommend it in this part of town), there’s parking available nearby, but honestly, you won’t need a car. The tram stops are close too, and walking is usually faster anyway. I love that you can stroll to a proper restaurant for dinner — there’s this amazing traditional Czech place about three minutes away that locals actually frequent.

Why Guests Love It

What really makes Beautiful New Town Apartment work is that perfect balance between being central and feeling like you’re living in Prague rather than just visiting it. The 9.6 location score isn’t just about proximity to sights — though you’re ridiculously close to everything — it’s about being in a neighborhood that feels real. You’ll hear church bells in the morning, see locals heading to work, and experience Prague the way it actually is. Plus, having that extra space and kitchen setup means you can take a break from restaurant meals when you need to, which honestly becomes important after a few days of heavy Czech cuisine.

The apartment was one of the best we`ve ever had in Prague, a great trip overall.

We had breakfast at local restaurants. The apartment was excellent and we had a great time there.

What could be improved: 1. The beds in the bedrooms were too low for us. It was difficult to get up. We are not so young anymore....2. The overhead shower in the shower cubicle did not work....3. It would be a good idea to add a shelf for detergents to the shower cubicle....4. There was no bidet hand shower near the toilet....5. There were too few bath towels. The appropriate number could be at least 2/guest....6. There were too few sheets and pillowcases. The appropriate number could be at least 2/guest....7. The TV did not work except through the PC. That was enough for us.

Very good

Excellent space and location. Apartment had everything needed and more. It’s just round the corner from all the best spots in Prague, whilst being away enough to be quiet.

What could be improved: Nothing, all good.
