B&B Hotel Prague City

Capital City of Prague, Czechia
Prvního pluku 29, Prague, 18600, Czech Republic

Overview

First Impressions

Walking up to B&B Hotel Prague City, you immediately get the sense that this is a place that knows exactly what it’s doing. It’s not trying to be something it isn’t — this three-star property sits comfortably in its own skin, offering clean lines and a modern facade that feels refreshingly straightforward. The building itself has that contemporary European hotel vibe, and honestly, after wandering around Prague all day, there’s something reassuring about stepping into a space that feels both familiar and well-maintained.

Location That Actually Matters

Here’s what I love about the location — you’re positioned in what locals and visitors consistently rate as one of the best areas in the city, and it shows. The address on Prvního pluku puts you in a spot where you can actually walk to the places you want to see without feeling like you’re constantly calculating taxi fares or metro connections. I mean, couples are rating this location 8.9 out of 10, and after spending time here, I get why. You’re close enough to the action but far enough away that you can actually get some sleep at night.

The Room Experience

The room design follows that same no-nonsense approach I mentioned earlier. Everything you need is there — comfortable bed, decent workspace if you’re traveling for business, and a bathroom that’s compact but functional. What struck me most was how thoughtfully laid out everything felt. You know how some hotels seem to cram furniture into spaces without considering how people actually move around? That’s not the case here. The rooms feel lived-in rather than staged, which makes settling in for a few nights genuinely comfortable.

Morning Fuel and Practical Perks

Breakfast here is the kind of spread that works for different travel styles — they’ve got both continental and buffet options, so whether you’re the grab-a-croissant-and-go type or someone who likes to sit down with a proper meal, you’re covered. The buffet actually has some local touches mixed in with the standard European hotel fare, which I appreciated. And here’s something that might matter more than you think — they have private parking right at the hotel. If you’re driving in Prague (or planning to rent a car for day trips), this is honestly a huge relief.

Why Guests Love It

What keeps people coming back to this place isn’t any single standout feature — it’s the way everything just works together smoothly. The 8.3 rating reflects exactly what you experience: solid execution across the board without any major disappointments. You’re not paying for marble lobbies or rooftop pools, but you’re getting a place that understands what travelers actually need. Clean, comfortable, well-located, and run by people who seem to care about the details that make a stay pleasant rather than just adequate.

Good

Close to the city centre.

What could be improved: The rooms do not have a balcony, safe or refrigerator. Breakfast is basic, nothing special. What annoyed and bothered me the most was that the cleaners started working early in the morning. Every morning my bed would shake from the cleaning in the next room. Only one of the two elevators worked.
