B&B Hotel Prague City Overview
Honestly, when I first pulled up to B&B Hotel Prague City on Prvního pluku, I wasn’t sure what to expect – the street’s a bit residential and quiet, which actually turned out to be a blessing. You know what struck me right away? How refreshingly straightforward everything was. No pretentious lobby trying to impress you with marble and chandeliers, just clean lines and that efficient-but-friendly vibe that makes you think, “okay, these people know what they’re doing.”
The location is sort of brilliant in that sneaky way where you’re not right in the tourist chaos, but you’re still connected to everything that matters. I mean, you’re in Smíchov, which locals will tell you is where Prague gets real – there’s this great energy once you walk toward the river, and honestly, the tram connections are fantastic. You can hop on and be at Prague Castle or the Old Town in maybe fifteen minutes, but when you come back at night, you’re not dealing with all those drunk bachelor parties stumbling around Wenceslas Square. The neighborhood has this lived-in feel with actual Czech families and corner pubs where the beer costs what it should cost, not tourist prices.
What really won me over was how they handle the basics so well – the rooms are compact but smartly designed (think IKEA but with actual comfort), the Wi-Fi actually works everywhere, and the breakfast… well, it’s not going to change your life, but it’s solid and gets you going. The staff genuinely seems to care about helping you figure out Prague, not just checking you in and disappearing. I remember asking about where to catch the airport bus, and instead of just pointing vaguely, the guy at reception actually walked outside to show me the exact stop. Little things like that stick with you. The whole place feels like it was designed by people who actually travel themselves – there are enough power outlets, the shower has proper pressure, and the beds don’t feel like sleeping on cardboard. Plus, parking is available if you’re driving, which in Prague is basically a small miracle. Sure, it’s a 3-star place, so don’t expect a spa or room service, but honestly? That 8.3 rating makes perfect sense when you experience how everything just works without any fuss or drama.

Reviews of B&B Hotel Prague City
Very good – Mariia from Czech Republic – 25 July 2025 (8/10)
The room was clean and comfortable
What could be improved: Breakfast was very basicSuperb – Leszek from Poland – 22 July 2025 (9/10)
A great location for exploring Prague. A car parking on demand.
Good – Vinko from Croatia – 16 June 2025 (7/10)
Close to the city centre.
What could be improved: The rooms do not have a balcony, safe or refrigerator. Breakfast is basic, nothing special. What annoyed and bothered me the most was that the cleaners started working early in the morning. Every morning my bed would shake from the cleaning in the next room. Only one of the two elevators worked.Center Prague – great value for money – Magdi from United Kingdom – 10 June 2025 (9/10)
Surprisingly nice and affordable hotel in the center of Prague. Comfortable beds, 5 min walk to the main Bus station or to the Metro (tube).
Exceptionally friendly receptionist. Helping to plan a journey with partial closure.
Very clean. TV has many international channels. In the foyer is automate with drinks and snacks, shop 2min from the hotel. many restaurants near by.A great place to stay, just outside of the historic centre. Excellent price-performance! – Peter from Belgium – 10 June 2025 (9/10)
The breakfast exceeded my expectations. I was so happy so have traditional Czech rohlik (bread rolls) and cake with mak (ground poppy seed paste). Wonderful. Room was comfortable and quiet.
worth the money – Riganova from Slovakia – 22 May 2025 (9/10)
Location was great, there was a subway station called Florenc very close to the hotel, maybe like 3 minutes of walking. It was two subway stops from the main train station. Shopping centre nearby, grocery store too. Even though Florenc is pretty crowded, it was a quiet place to stay. Breakfast provided many options, better than expected. Bathroom was clean, room aswell. Hotel stuff people were very helpful and nice. We are going to this hotel again very soon.
What could be improved: nothingCleam rooms, great location. Lovely staff – Liis from Estonia – 17 May 2025 (7/10)
Great location. Lovely staff. 24/7 reception which was great because our flight was delayed and had to check it at midnight. Clean room and good breakfast.
What could be improved: Room was very small. Water from tap tasted a bit weird.Superb – Olga from Russia – 8 May 2025 (9/10)
Location, nice breakfast.
Convenient and comfy – Jana from United Kingdom – 25 April 2025 (7/10)
Location near tube station and main tram links
Quick check in and out
What could be improved: Could hear people in neighbouring rooms a fair bit, so not soundproofed.
Had to pay for gluten free breakfast which I was not aware of at the time of booking, but when paid I received lots for the payment. Sadly, one of the things I got was not GF but for people with diabetes. Luckily I read everything before I eat it. Need to be a bit careful with that.A very pleasant stay – Chwee from Singapore – 23 April 2025 (9/10)
We had a very pleasant stay at B&B Hotel Prague City. The location is excellent—just a 3-minute walk from the Florenc Metro station, making it very convenient to get around the city. The hotel is clean and well-maintained, with a modern and quiet environment.
Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We appreciated the added security feature of using a passcode to enter the room, which is different from the usual keycard system. The room was comfortable and included a table and chair, although it would be even better if a table lamp were provided for added convenience.
Breakfast was surprisingly good for the price—definitely above average. The only minor downside was that the pillow was too thin for our liking.
Overall, this hotel offers great value for money. We strongly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and budget-friendly stay in Prague.
