Location

The hotel stands on Na Poříčí, a street with tram and car traffic between Náměstí Republiky and Florenc. Florenc metro station, served by lines B (yellow) and C (red), is about 350 metres away, roughly 5 minutes on foot. Masarykovo nádraží railway station is about 400 metres away and Prague Main Railway Station about 1 km. Václav Havel Airport is around 25–30 minutes by car.

The property

The building was designed and built by architect Václav Pilc between 1930 and 1932 and opened at the turn of 1933 and 1934 with a 25-metre indoor swimming pool and gymnasiums. It was reconstructed in 2013–2014, reopened as a hotel in January 2015 and was declared a cultural monument during the renovation. Rooms were remodelled in a 1930s style, with wooden floors, white tiles and metal furniture copied from period photographs. The pool is also open to the public, and hotel guests pay a fee to use it; a gym, sauna and massage room are available at extra cost. The hotel has a 24-hour front desk, a lift and a restaurant. A buffet breakfast is served from 07:30 to 10:00 and is charged separately.

Great location, staff very nice, good communication, good value.

Beautiful Experience

Location is so good. Room was smelling so good and clean. View was so nice beacuse of my room at the street side of the hotel. If I come back to Prague, AXA will be my choice again.

What could be improved: The only thing that I didn't like is Locked balcony door :D. I didn't ask to open it anyway.
