You know what? I wasn’t expecting much from 4 Arts Apartments by Adrez when I first walked down Rybna Street – I mean, the name sounds a bit corporate, right? But honestly, this place surprised me in the best way. The building itself has this understated elegance that feels very Prague, tucked away on a quieter street that’s actually perfect because you’re still right in the thick of Old Town but without the constant tourist crowds trampling past your windows at all hours.

The apartments themselves are what really won me over though. These aren’t your typical cramped hotel rooms – you get actual space to spread out, which is honestly a godsend when you’re dealing with Prague’s unpredictable weather and need somewhere to dry off and regroup. The kitchenettes are surprisingly well-equipped (I actually cooked a few meals, something I rarely bother with when traveling), and the design strikes this nice balance between modern comfort and respecting the historic character of the building. What I really appreciated was the attention to small details – good lighting for reading, decent water pressure, and windows that actually open properly, which you’d be amazed how many places get wrong.

Location-wise, you’re basically a five-minute walk from the Powder Tower and maybe ten minutes to Old Town Square if you take your time and don’t get distracted by all the little side streets begging to be explored. The staff clearly knows their stuff too – they gave me directions to this amazing little bakery on Celetná that I never would have found otherwise, and when I mentioned I was interested in the city’s art scene (hence the name, I guess?), they had actual recommendations beyond the obvious tourist spots. I’ll be honest, the area can get a bit lively on weekend evenings – you’re close enough to the action that you’ll hear some street noise – but it’s nothing earplugs can’t handle, and during the week it’s pleasantly quiet. The 8.5 rating feels about right to me; it’s solidly above average without being flashy about it, which somehow feels very Prague to me. If you want something that feels more like having a well-located apartment than staying in a hotel, and you appreciate being treated like a person rather than just another booking, this place gets it right.
