Hotel Description
You know what struck me first about Art House Apartments? The location is honestly unbeatable – Krizovnicka Street puts you right in the thick of Old Town without the absolute chaos of being directly on a main tourist drag. I mean, you’re literally a two-minute walk from Charles Bridge, but tucked away enough that you’re not hearing tour groups at 7am. The building itself has this really nice blend of historic Prague architecture with modern apartment-style setups, which actually works better than you’d think. These aren’t tiny hotel rooms – you get proper living spaces with kitchenettes that are genuinely useful (not just a mini-fridge and a prayer).
What really sets this place apart is how they’ve managed to capture that “living like a local” vibe without sacrificing the services you want when traveling. The apartments have character – exposed beams, interesting art pieces (hence the name, I guess), and windows that actually open properly, which is surprisingly rare in Prague’s city center. The staff seems to really know their stuff too; they gave me restaurant recommendations that weren’t the usual tourist traps, including this little wine bar on Nerudova that I never would’ve found otherwise. Honestly, the 8.8 rating makes sense – it’s not trying to be a luxury hotel, but it delivers on what it promises really well. The Wi-Fi is solid (I was working remotely for part of my stay), and the kitchens are stocked with decent basics if you want to grab groceries from the Tesco just off Wenceslas Square.
Here’s the thing though – this spot gets busy during peak season (May through September), so book early if you’re planning a summer trip. The neighborhood gets lively in the evenings, which is great if you want that Prague atmosphere, but light sleepers might want to pack earplugs. Parking is pretty much impossible on the street, but there’s a garage about five minutes away that they can arrange for you. Check-in was smooth – they actually have someone there most hours, not like some apartment rentals where you’re hunting for a lockbox. The tram stop on Narodni is super close, which connects you to the castle district without the uphill walk. I’d definitely stay here again, especially if I was planning a longer trip where having a proper kitchen and living space would matter. It’s got that sweet spot of feeling authentically Prague while still being comfortable and well-run.
Many travelers prefer to book apartments in Prague through local agencies that offer personalized recommendations and insider knowledge about the best neighborhoods for exploring the city’s rich medieval heritage.

The decor, the frescos, the modern bathroom, well equipped kitchen and impeccable cleanliness. Beds and seating were very comfortable! Code entry and security in this building were fantastic as well.

3 females on city break, Apartment is in an ideal location for exploring Prague, right beside the tram service, has so much charm, very clean and comfortable, has a coffee machine, hair dryer,WiFi,right beside Charles bridge,8 minute casual walk to square center, quite building with a lift to 8th floor (we realised we had a lift in day 2 of our stay, location of lift is at the bend of 1 st story of stairs behind wooden door 😊)
If I was to say something “negative” it would be there wasn’t any products to clean, like a disinfectant to clean down the kitchen work tops and tables/toilet area…and a sweeping brush would of came in handy too…
Check in isn’t 3 pm so if you arrive early like we did you can leave baggage in reception a short walk away…
Already looking forward to returning and staying with here 🙂Mariana from United Kingdom – 17 March 2025 (9/10)

Joachim from Germany – 6 January 2025 (9/10)
It is a very centrally located, just a couple of minutes and you reach all the attractions.
It was very clean and comfortable. Someone had said that there was noise from the elevetor, we did not hear anything. We had unit 7 with 2 bedrooms and bathrooms. It was very spacious.
We parked our car at the Rudolfium. It costed 30 euros/day. Is just 100 meters from the appartment and very convenient.
What could be improved: There was no coffee or tea.
The communication was very slow. We had some questions regarding the amount charged( looks was an error on the part of booking) . But since communication was so slow, took a long time to clarify.
Another thing mentioned in small print, card used for payment should be in the name of the person booking. We were using my wifes and it kept getting rejected, till we read the fine printKendra from Germany – 25 December 2024 (9/10)
Amazing location and very roomy apartment. Very clean. Only drawback was a missing plug for the bathtub.
Angelova from Bulgaria – 17 December 2024 (8/10)
The apartment was very clean, perfect location – in the city cente, near the metro station. The bedrooms are quite and nice furnished.
What could be improved: I phoned twice to the reception for questions I had, because I didn't received answers of my questions by messages. The temperature in the apartment when we arrived was 19 degrees. We were there in December, with two kids and it was cold for us.
