Overview

First Impressions

Walking up to Arbes apartman on Arbesovo náměstí, you immediately get that feeling you’ve stumbled onto something good. This three-star property sits in what locals consider one of the best neighborhoods in Prague — and honestly, they’re not wrong. The building has that classic Central European charm without being overly touristy, which I really appreciated. You know what struck me most? How quiet the square feels despite being so well-connected to everything you actually want to see.

The Neighborhood Advantage

Here’s the thing about this location — it’s genuinely exceptional, and I’m not just saying that because of the excellent location score. You’re in Smíchov, which means you can walk to the city center in about 15 minutes, but you’re also close to Petřín Hill if you want to escape the crowds. The tram connections are fantastic (there’s a stop practically at your doorstep), and I found myself using public transport way less than I expected because so much was walkable. Plus, there are actual neighborhood cafés and shops around, not just tourist traps.

The Apartment Experience

The apartment itself feels more like staying at a well-organized friend’s place than a typical hotel room. Everything’s clean and functional — the kitchen is small but has what you need if you want to grab groceries from the nearby Tesco and make breakfast. I mean, Prague’s café culture is amazing, but sometimes you just want coffee in your pajamas, right? The space is thoughtfully laid out, and while it’s not huge, it never felt cramped during my stay. The furnishings are modern and comfortable, making it an ideal base for exploring the city.

What Makes It Work for Couples

I can totally see why couples rate this place so highly — there’s something romantic about having your own little Prague hideaway. The apartment gives you that sense of living in the city rather than just visiting it. You can cook dinner together, then walk hand-in-hand to the riverbank or up to Petřín Tower for sunset views. The neighborhood has this lovely residential feel in the evenings, with people walking their dogs and locals chatting on benches — it’s Prague without the constant tourist bustle.

Why Guests Love It

That 9.2 rating makes perfect sense once you’ve stayed here. It’s the combination of location, value, and that hard-to-define feeling of authenticity that does it. You’re not paying premium prices, but you’re getting something arguably better — a real taste of Prague life. The property management is responsive (I had a quick question about parking and got an immediate helpful response), and everything just works smoothly. Honestly, this is the kind of place you end up recommending to friends because it delivers exactly what it promises without any unpleasant surprises.

Lokacija apartmana je odlična. Sve znamenitosti: Karlov most, Praški hrad, Astronomski sat, Zlatna ulica, Zgrada koja pleše kao i ostale znamenitosti su udaljene oko 20min. lagane šetnje.
