Apartments Tronicek Overview

First Impressions

Walking up to Apartments Tronicek on Purkyňova street, you immediately sense you’ve found something special in Prague. This three-star property sits right in the heart of the city — and I mean really in the heart, not just marketing speak. The building has that classic Central European charm without being overly touristy, which honestly surprised me given how central the location is. The neighborhood perfectly balances authentic local character with easy access to major attractions.

Location That Actually Matters

Here’s what I love about staying here — you can walk to Prague Castle, Old Town Square, and the Charles Bridge without breaking a sweat. The apartment complex is tucked into New Town, but you’re literally minutes from everything that matters. What’s even better is that couples seem to get this location thing figured out quickly (they rate it 9.4, which makes total sense once you’re there). You know what really sold me though? There’s actual parking on site, which if you’ve ever tried to park in Prague’s city center, you’ll understand is basically like finding gold. The convenient access to public transportation adds another layer of connectivity to the entire city.

The Space Itself

The apartments here feel more like temporary homes than hotel rooms — each one comes with a proper kitchen setup that’s actually functional. I mean, you can cook real meals if you want to, not just heat up instant noodles. The layouts are smart too, making good use of space without feeling cramped. Everything’s clean and well-maintained, with thoughtful design choices throughout. The furnishings are modern and comfortable, providing exactly what guests need for an extended stay.

What Makes It Work

The staff here actually know Prague, which sounds basic but isn’t always the case. They’ll point you toward the good local spots, not just the obvious tourist traps. The building itself is quiet despite being so central — something about the way it’s positioned means you don’t get the street noise you’d expect. Plus, having that kitchen means you can grab fresh bread and local cheese from the markets nearby and have proper breakfasts without paying hotel restaurant prices. This flexibility transforms your stay into a more authentic local experience.

Why Guests Love It

Look, this isn’t going to wow you with fancy amenities or over-the-top service, but it nails the fundamentals perfectly. You get a great location, functional space, and honest value — which in a city like Prague, where location can make or break your trip, matters more than marble bathrooms or concierge services. The fact that it consistently gets high ratings (8 out of 10) tells you that people leave satisfied. That’s because it delivers exactly what most travelers actually need rather than what they think they want. Guests appreciate the straightforward approach and reliable quality.

The location was perfect. Everything you’d ever want was really close to walk to. The place felt light and airy and comfortable.

  • An excellent week in a spacious, well-located apartment – Malcolm from United Kingdom – 23 November 2024 (9/10)

The location is excellent – very close to two metro lines and tram stops, with supermarkets nearby and easy walking distance to eateries. The apartment is spacious, and if need be there is a laudromat just up the road.

  • Location makes this an excee – Mary from Ireland – 6 November 2024 (8/10)

Excellent location to explore Prague. Within very easy walking distance of the various attractions. Plenty of restaurants, bars, shops, takeaways right outside, Although the inside is quite dated, it is very comfortable and warm and everything you need is provided.

What could be improved: The outside looks quite dilapidated.

  • Excellent location and worth the cost. – Lalit from Sweden – 7 August 2024 (9/10)

Great location, in the city center, right in front of kakfa head statue. Very big, spacious, clean rooms and comfortable beds. Windows can be opened so it didn’t feel too hot. There is a shopping mall nearby, plenty of multi cuisine restaurants public transport options and tourist places. Old city square, astronomical clock, charles bridge are 10-15 mins away by walk. For 35€, you get private parking. The host Milan was really friendly and helpful.

What could be improved: Warm white lighting was giving the apartment more older look. You can only fit 2 bags and an adult in the small lift in the building.

  • Good – Thaler from Israel – 2 August 2024 (7/10)

    Good location

What could be improved: Not enough fans

  • Center of Old and New – Craig from United States – 17 October 2023 (8/10)

Ideal location directly between the old city and the new city. Directly across from shopping mall and main public transit lines. Great value. Plenty of space.

What could be improved: No hot water. Was promised compensation for this deficiency, but have not received as promised. No internet. Was able to fix this myself with some trouble shooting.
