You know what struck me first about Apartments Palmovka? It’s tucked away in this surprisingly quiet corner of Libeň that honestly feels more like a residential neighborhood than a tourist zone – which, after staying in Prague’s crowded Old Town too many times, was exactly what I needed. The building sits right on U Libeňského Pivovaru, and I mean, the street name literally references the old brewery that used to be here, so you’re getting a slice of authentic Prague history without even trying.
The apartments themselves are actually impressive for a 4-star place. I was expecting the usual cramped European hotel room, but these feel like proper living spaces – think full kitchens where you can actually cook (not just a sad mini-fridge and kettle), decent-sized living areas, and windows that open wide enough to let in that crisp Prague air. The furnishings are modern without being sterile, sort of that Scandinavian-meets-Central-European vibe that works really well. Honestly, the 9-point rating makes sense once you settle in. The Wi-Fi is solid, which matters if you’re working remotely, and the heating actually works properly – something you can’t take for granted in older Prague buildings during winter months.
What I really appreciated was how connected you feel to the city from here, but without the chaos. You’re maybe a 15-minute metro ride from Wenceslas Square, but you’re also walking distance to Štvanice Island, which locals use for jogging and cycling but tourists somehow miss completely. The Palmovka metro station is close enough that you hear the occasional rumble, but it’s not disruptive – more like urban white noise. There’s a decent grocery store nearby (Billa, I think), plus some solid Czech pubs within walking distance where you won’t find a single tour group. Check-in was smooth, though I’d recommend arriving during normal hours since the front desk isn’t 24/7. Parking can be a bit tricky if you’re driving – street parking fills up, but there are options if you ask the staff. The whole experience feels less like staying in a hotel and more like temporarily living in Prague, which is exactly why I’d book it again.
Early hotels booking in Prague is essential during major events like the Prague Spring Festival, as accommodations fill up quickly with visitors eager to experience the city’s renowned classical music scene and Gothic architecture.

Such an amazing size and space for me and my partner. Host was very kind and helpful to us throughout our stay. The place was very very clean, no faults at all. Close to a supermarket and other shops, was in a good location for where we needed to go.

Гарне і зручне розташування апартаментів. Є підземний гараж. В квартирі є всі зручності і техніка. Дуже приємні і гостинні хазяїва. При заселенні подарували пляшку шампанського.
