Apartments Katarina Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Apartments Katarina on Čelakovského sady, you immediately sense you’ve found something special in Prague. This three-star property sits right in the heart of the city, and I mean literally — you’re surrounded by the kind of authentic Prague energy that most tourists only glimpse from tour buses. The building itself has that classic Central European charm, nothing flashy, but there’s something reassuring about its understated presence on this tree-lined street.
Location Magic
Honestly, the location here is what dreams are made of if you’re visiting Prague. You’re basically positioned where locals actually live and work, not in some tourist bubble. I found myself walking to Old Town Square in about ten minutes, but here’s the thing — you can also duck into genuine Czech pubs and cafés that haven’t been completely overrun by guidebook crowds. The nearby Náměstí Míru metro station connects you to the entire city, though you’ll probably find yourself walking everywhere because, well, why wouldn’t you when Prague’s this beautiful?
The Apartment Experience
Each apartment feels like staying in a friend’s well-appointed Prague flat rather than a typical hotel room. The spaces are thoughtfully designed with separate living areas and fully equipped kitchens — actually useful ones, not the tiny hotel kitchenettes that can barely handle making coffee. I appreciated having real counter space and proper cookware, especially since there’s a Tesco just around the corner if you want to grab some Czech beer and local cheese for an evening in. The furnishings strike that perfect balance between modern comfort and local character.
Neighborhood Vibes
What I love about this area is how it feels genuinely residential while still being incredibly central. You’ll see Prague families heading to work in the morning, kids playing in the nearby parks, and that authentic rhythm of city life that you miss when you’re stuck in the tourist quarter. The tree-lined streets around Čelakovského sady are perfect for morning walks, and there’s something magical about having your coffee while watching the city wake up from your apartment window. Plus, you’re close enough to Vinohrady that you can explore one of Prague’s most charming neighborhoods on foot.
Why Guests Love It
The 8.8 rating really tells the story here — people consistently rave about feeling like temporary Prague residents rather than just visitors passing through. Couples especially seem to fall for this place, and I get it completely. There’s something romantic about having your own little Prague hideaway where you can cook dinner together, then step outside for an evening stroll through some of the city’s most beautiful streets. The combination of authentic location, comfortable living spaces, and that perfect balance of independence and city access creates exactly what you want from a Prague stay. You’re not just visiting the city; you’re actually living in it for a few days.
Early hotels booking in Prague is essential during major events like the Prague Spring Festival, as accommodations fill up quickly with visitors eager to experience the city’s renowned classical music scene and Gothic architecture.

Great Stay at Katherina Apartments! – Syed from Germany – 24 February 2025 (10/10)
I had a lovely stay with my family in the one-room apartment. It was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, with two double beds and a baby bed, which suited us perfectly. Check-in was quick, and the self-check-out was super easy. The location was quiet and convenient. Would definitely stay here again!
Everything was marvellous. Thanks Katarina – Handan from Turkey – 16 January 2025 (10/10)
The location is perfect. I reached Katarina Apartment very easily from the airport. . The view of the National Museum from the window was priceless. The studio apartment was just like in the photos. The old town is only 20 minutes on foot. There are many good restaurants and cafes nearby. The house, front entrance and lift are impressive. Large studio, clean, all utensils, towels and wardrobe accessories available. The owner and the lady who welcomed me were very helpful. the heating was very good even though it was -2 degrees outside. I plan to come again in spring. highly recommended
