Hotel Description
Look, I’ll be straight with you about Apartments Katarina – it’s one of those places that completely surprised me in the best way possible. When I first rolled up to Celakovskeho sady (and yes, I butchered that pronunciation for weeks), I honestly wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star apartment hotel. But you know what? Sometimes the unassuming spots end up being exactly what you need.
The location is actually pretty brilliant, though you might not realize it at first glance. You’re in this quiet residential area that feels genuinely Prague – not touristy Prague, but where actual people live and work. I mean, there’s something refreshing about stepping out in the morning and seeing locals heading to their regular coffee spots instead of crowds of tourists with selfie sticks. The tram connections are solid (which matters more than you’d think in Prague), and you can get to Old Town in about 15 minutes without dealing with the chaos of staying right in the thick of it. Plus – and this is huge – parking isn’t a nightmare here like it is closer to the center.
What really won me over was how the place actually functions as apartments, not just hotel rooms with a kitchenette thrown in as an afterthought. The kitchens are properly equipped (I’m talking real cookware, not those sad little pots you usually get), and there’s enough counter space to actually prepare a meal. The grocery store down the street becomes your friend pretty quickly – honestly, having breakfast on your little terrace while watching the neighborhood wake up beats fighting for a table at some overpriced tourist café. The staff, well, they’re not going to win awards for chattiness, but they know their stuff and they’ll sort out any issues without a fuss. I had a problem with the WiFi on my second day, and maintenance was up within an hour. The 8.8 rating makes sense when you consider it’s not trying to be something it’s not – it’s comfortable, clean, and functional without any pretense. The beds are actually decent (firm, which I appreciate), and the bathrooms have proper water pressure. One small thing though – the walls aren’t super thick, so if you’re unlucky enough to get neighbors who think 2 AM is prime conversation time, you’ll know about it. But honestly, that’s pretty standard for apartment-style places. What I keep coming back to is how it strikes this perfect balance between having your own space and being connected to the real Prague, not just the postcard version.
Early hotels booking in Prague is essential during major events like the Prague Spring Festival, as accommodations fill up quickly with visitors eager to experience the city’s renowned classical music scene and Gothic architecture.

Great Stay at Katherina Apartments! – Syed from Germany – 24 February 2025 (10/10)
I had a lovely stay with my family in the one-room apartment. It was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, with two double beds and a baby bed, which suited us perfectly. Check-in was quick, and the self-check-out was super easy. The location was quiet and convenient. Would definitely stay here again!
Everything was marvellous. Thanks Katarina – Handan from Turkey – 16 January 2025 (10/10)
The location is perfect. I reached Katarina Apartment very easily from the airport. . The view of the National Museum from the window was priceless. The studio apartment was just like in the photos. The old town is only 20 minutes on foot. There are many good restaurants and cafes nearby. The house, front entrance and lift are impressive. Large studio, clean, all utensils, towels and wardrobe accessories available. The owner and the lady who welcomed me were very helpful. the heating was very good even though it was -2 degrees outside. I plan to come again in spring. highly recommended
