Hotel Description

You know what caught me off guard about Apartments Emma? The fact that it’s tucked away on Oldřichova street in a proper residential neighborhood, not some touristy bubble. I mean, when you’re walking there from the nearest tram stop, you’re passing actual Czech families going about their day – kids on bikes, neighbors chatting over garden fences, the whole authentic Prague experience that most visitors never see.

The building itself has that solid, unpretentious feel that’s so typical of this part of Prague 2. It’s not trying to be boutique or flashy (honestly, the entrance is pretty modest), but once you’re inside your apartment, everything just works. The kitchenettes are actually functional – I’m talking real counter space and appliances that don’t look like they were bought at a gas station. The Wi-Fi was solid throughout my stay, which… let’s be real, that’s not always a given in these converted residential buildings. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night. You’re far enough from the main drags that you don’t get the drunk tourist parade at 2 AM, but close enough that you can still walk to Vinohrady or even Wenceslas Square without breaking a sweat.

The area around Oldřichova is sort of perfectly positioned if you think about it – you’ve got the local vibe of residential Prague, but you’re also within striking distance of some genuinely good neighborhood spots that tourists usually miss entirely. There’s this little Vietnamese place around the corner that does phenomenal pho (Prague’s Vietnamese food scene is incredible, by the way), and the small grocery stores nearby actually stay open decent hours. Parking can be tricky if you’re driving – it’s all street parking in this neighborhood, and locals definitely have their unspoken territorial claims on certain spots. But honestly, you probably don’t need a car anyway. The tram connections are solid, and walking through this part of the city gives you a much better sense of how Prague actually feels to live in, not just visit. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward too – no overly complicated key card systems or confusing building codes, just practical hospitality that gets you settled without fuss. For a 3-star place pulling a 9.6 rating, Apartments Emma delivers exactly what it promises: clean, comfortable, authentically located accommodation that doesn’t try to be something it’s not.

Early hotels booking in Prague is essential during major events like the Prague Spring Festival, as accommodations fill up quickly with visitors eager to experience the city’s renowned classical music scene and Gothic architecture.

  • Veronika from Czech Republic – 17 September 2022 (10/10)

Everything was excellent during our stay. The host is very friendly and provides lots of good advice about what to see and visit. The apartment is extremely spatious, well-equipped, quiet, and clean. Wifi was working well, there was a parking place in the yeard. Very good value considering the quality of the accommodation and its location!

What could be improved: Nothing. Just wish we could have stayed longer!

  • Krystian from Poland – 3 March 2025 (10/10)

I usually don’t write reviews, but this time I have to because the host was amazing. I’ve never met such a kind host before. Mr. Vaclav gave us a map and told us all about Prague, which made it much easier to explore the city in a short time. The room itself looks much better in reality than in the photos."

  • Norhan from Egypt – 10 December 2024 (10/10)

The location is very good, in a quiet neighborhood so there is no noice at night. 2 minutes walk from the tram station. There is a supermarket, an Italian restaurant and many places around place, so it was convenient.
The place has all the facilities needed; mini fridge, microwave, mini stove, pots and pans and even a coffee machine withe capsules provided. And a chocolate bar 🤩
The place is secure for solo female travelers.
But the one thing I liked the most is how passionate Vaclav- the host- were. He knows prague by heart and will give great recommendations for all kind of things from sightseeing to were to eat according to your preferences. He shows you a map where you can go and give you little tips that very helpfull.

    What could be improved: Nothing
A bottle of Shampoo would be a nice addition.

  • Lahorka from Croatia – 23 November 2024 (10/10)

Everything was great and it was our second time staying in the same apartment. Our host Vaclav was very friendly as always and gave us great recommendations for locations, restaurants and caffes. Free and safe parking in the building backyard is definitely a great plus for that accommodation. The apartment was clean and warm, giving us a cosy atmosphere. There is a big grocery shop nearby, 5 minutes walk away. A tram station is a 2 minutes walk away, lines 18 and 14 are great for arrival to the center of Prague.

Vaclav is an incredible host! He personally welcomed me, gave a detailed city overview, shared great tips for planning my vacation, and even left complimentary coffee and chocolate in the apartment. The apartment itself was perfect—spotless and comfortable, with nothing to complain about. I had an issue which was 100% my fault, but Vaclav quickly resolved it, even on a weekend. Highly recommend!

  • Vy from Norway – 4 October 2024 (10/10)

Vaclav was there to welcome me and give the key in person. He gave me a map of Prague and spent a good 20 minutes giving me recommendations for places, food, and routes. Besides all that, there is also a chocolate bar for me. The location couldnt be better, just 3 mins to the tram, and took 10 mins to get to the center. It is a pretty and quite neighborhood. Definitely recommend 😊
