Apartments Embassy by LH

Capital City of Prague, Czechia
Tržiště 18/259, Prague, 118 00, Czech Republic

Overview

You know what caught me off guard about Apartments Embassy by LH? The moment you walk through that entrance on Tržiště, you’re hit with this immediate sense of calm that’s honestly pretty rare in Prague’s tourist-heavy areas. I mean, you’re literally a three-minute walk from the castle gates, but somehow this little street feels like a secret the crowds haven’t figured out yet. The building itself has that understated elegance thing going on – not flashy, but you can tell someone put real thought into the renovations. The apartments are spacious in a way that actually matters when you’re traveling (I’m talking about being able to open your suitcase without having to move furniture around), and the kitchenettes are properly equipped, not just for show like you get at some places.

What really sold me on this spot was discovering how perfectly positioned it is for exploring Lesser Town without feeling like you’re camping out in a theme park. You’ve got Kampa Island right there for morning runs along the river, and honestly, some of the best views of the city happen when you’re just wandering those cobblestone streets early before the tour groups arrive. The staff – and this is where that 8.7 rating starts making sense – actually know the neighborhood. They’ll point you toward that little wine bar on Nerudova that doesn’t have a sign, or tell you which tram to catch to avoid the Prague Castle crowds (hint: don’t go up Nerudova Street at 10 AM unless you enjoy moving at glacial pace behind selfie sticks). The check-in process was refreshingly straightforward, and they’re genuinely helpful about things like grocery stores and where to find decent coffee that isn’t tourist-priced.

Here’s the thing about staying here – you’re getting that apartment-style independence with hotel-level service, which is sort of the sweet spot for Prague visits longer than a weekend. The Wi-Fi actually works throughout the building, the heating keeps up with those damp October nights, and the windows are thick enough that you won’t hear every late-night reveler stumbling down the hill from the castle. Sure, it’s not the cheapest option in Prague, but when you factor in having a proper kitchen and being able to walk to both the castle and Charles Bridge without dealing with metro schedules or taxi hassles, it starts feeling like pretty solid value. Plus, and this might sound silly, but there’s something satisfying about staying somewhere that feels more like a temporary Prague address than just another hotel room – especially when that address happens to be in one of the most beautiful neighborhoods in Central Europe.

Across the street from the US Embassy

The room was fantastic. The location was close to everything you might need. Beautiful walks in parks were just steps away. Close to trams and busess and shopping. Delicious meals from every direction.

The staff was attentive and I had fresh coffee pods with cream and sugar for the coffee maker every day.

I had no trouble checking in. The room was quiet and there is plenty of storage.

Highly recommend

What could be improved: The only thing is that the television did not work. It kept saying "no signal" but that is only a very small thing and since I was in Prague I didn't plan on watching mush television.

But that was the only thing.
