The building sits right in the thick of Prague’s Old Town – I mean, you’re literally a two-minute walk from the Estates Theatre where Mozart premiered Don Giovanni. The location is almost ridiculous in how perfect it is, but somehow they’ve managed to keep it from feeling touristy or overrun.

What struck me first was how quiet the apartments actually are, considering you’re basically in the heart of everything. Rytířská is this narrow cobblestone street that feels more residential than commercial, so you get that authentic Prague vibe without the constant stream of tour groups marching past your window. The apartments themselves have this perfect balance – they’ve clearly been renovated with modern travelers in mind (thank god for proper WiFi and updated bathrooms), but they haven’t stripped away all the character. High ceilings, original hardwood floors that creak just enough to remind you you’re in a historic building, and these great big windows that actually open properly.

The thing that really sets this place apart though is how they’ve thought about the details that matter when you’re actually living somewhere for a few days. The kitchenettes are properly equipped – not just a mini-fridge and a prayer, but actual cooking facilities if you want to grab ingredients from the market on Havelská (which, by the way, is about a five-minute walk and perfect for morning coffee and pastries). I appreciated that they provide proper coffee, not those terrible instant packets most places dump on you. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward too – none of that awkward lobby hovering while they “prepare your room.” The staff actually knows the neighborhood and gave me better restaurant recommendations than most guidebooks.

You know what really sold me on the place? It’s that sweet spot where you feel like you’re staying in someone’s well-appointed Prague apartment rather than a generic hotel room, but without any of the usual apartment rental headaches. The building has this gorgeous entrance with original tilework, and your neighbors are likely to be a mix of locals and other travelers who did their homework. Parking is… well, it’s Prague’s Old Town, so don’t expect miracles, but there’s a garage about three blocks away that won’t completely destroy your budget.

If I’m being completely honest, the only minor gripe is that the walls between apartments could be a touch thicker – not that it’s loud, but you might hear your neighbor’s morning routine if they’re particularly enthusiastic about their shower singing. But given that you’re paying significantly less than you’d drop at one of those overpriced hotels on Wenceslas Square, and getting way more space and character, it feels petty to complain. This is the kind of place that makes Prague feel like your temporary home rather than just another tourist stop.
