You know what? I wasn’t expecting much from Apartment Masná 21 – I mean, it’s tucked away on this narrow cobblestone street that Google Maps almost gave up trying to find. But honestly, that turned out to be exactly what made it perfect. The building is this gorgeous old Prague townhouse, and you’re staying in apartment number 4, which feels more like crashing at a friend’s place who happens to have incredible taste and lives in one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. The 9.3 rating isn’t some fluke either – when I walked up those creaky wooden stairs (and yes, there’s no elevator, so pack light), I got why people rave about this place.

What really got me was how genuinely local the whole experience feels. Masná Street is right in the heart of Old Town, but it’s one of those side streets where actual Praguers still live and work. There’s this amazing traditional Czech restaurant called Lokál literally around the corner – not touristy at all, just incredible goulash and the cheapest beer you’ll find in the city center. The apartment itself has these high ceilings and original hardwood floors that creak just enough to remind you you’re in a 400-year-old building, but everything inside is thoughtfully modern. I loved the kitchen setup because you can actually cook if you want to save some crowns, and the windows open onto the street where you’ll hear people heading to work in the morning and maybe some late-night conversations drifting up from the pubs below.

The location is honestly ridiculous – you’re a three-minute walk from the Astronomical Clock (though I’d skip it during peak tourist madness around noon), and the Jewish Quarter is right there too. But here’s the thing nobody tells you: you’re also perfectly positioned for the real Prague. Walk five minutes toward the river and you’ll hit this little market square where locals buy their groceries, or head the other way toward Wenceslas Square for late-night tram connections. Parking is basically impossible on the street, but there’s a garage about ten minutes away if you’re driving. The whole area gets pretty quiet after 10 PM, which I appreciated after long days wandering around the city. Sure, it’s technically a 3-star place, but it punches way above its weight – clean, comfortable, and run by people who clearly care about getting the details right. If you want to feel like you’re living in Prague rather than just visiting it, this is your spot.

  Location was perfect…. CLean… quiet…spacious… & very comfortable

  What could be improved: Not much…but if nit picking…It didn’t get much day light as windows faced inside a court yard…also shower head didnt stay in top holder when water on had to hold it but it was powerful & always hot.

  The property is very close to Old town square and loads of other attractions are at walking distance. There are a number of very nice restaurants around the area.

  This was a most enjoyable stay in one of the most beautiful cities in the world… The apartment is in a superb location right in the heart of things and our Host Michal, was most accommodating and helpful. When we got to the location somewhat ahead of our expected time he managed to meet us earlier to facilitate our access. And when we had an early flight on the Thursday morning, he ensured that the cleaning lady was there to pick up the keys at the appointed time – top job!
  
  What could be improved: It's only a minor quibble, but more than one set of towels per person would have been welcome. Perhaps also more than one set of keys would mean that people are not so tied together for the duration but again, minor issue really.

  L'appartamento è molto pulito e si trova in una posizione eccellente per visitare il centro a piedi. Ci siamo trovati benissimo. Il nostro host si è presentato all'orario concordato puntualissimo per darci le chiavi e mostrarci l'appartamento. Altrettanto semplice la riconsegna delle chiavi ad una signora di fiducia arrivata puntuale. Il wifi funziona alla grande.
  
  What could be improved: Si tratta più di un consiglio per l'host: bisogna controllare la chiusura dei vetri della doccia… si rischia di far uscire l'acqua se non si sta attenti in quanto le ante non chiudono bene.

  Nagyon jó a szállás elhelyezkedése, minden séta távolságban volt. 4 embernek 3 éjszakára kényelmes volt a szállás. A tisztaság is rendben volt.
  
  What could be improved: A parkolás nem egyszerű és a szállásadó is csak egy opciót mondott (külváros). Könnyebb lett volna, ha ezen a terén tájékozottabb. Illetve hiányoltuk a kávé kapszulát.
