Hotel Description

You know what? I walked past Apartment Jindrisska probably a dozen times before I realized it was actually a hotel. It sits right there on Jindřišská street – which, honestly, most tourists butcher the pronunciation of – but that’s kind of the beauty of this place. It doesn’t scream “tourist accommodation” from the outside, so you get this authentic Prague experience without feeling like you’re staying in some sterile chain property.

The thing about this spot is the location is just… well, it’s perfect if you actually want to experience Prague like someone who lives here. You’re literally a three-minute walk from Wenceslas Square, but here’s what the guidebooks won’t tell you – you’re also right around the corner from some of the best traditional pubs that locals actually frequent. I mean, Lokál U Bílé kuželky is practically next door, and trust me, that’s where you want to grab dinner, not some overpriced tourist trap. The apartments themselves are pretty straightforward – this is a 3-star place, so don’t expect marble bathrooms or anything fancy. But honestly? The kitchenettes are surprisingly well-equipped (I actually cooked breakfast a few times), and the beds are comfortable enough that I didn’t wake up feeling like I’d been wrestling with a medieval torture device. The building has that classic Prague charm – you know, the kind with thick walls that keep things surprisingly quiet even though you’re in the city center. I was worried about street noise, but Jindřišská isn’t one of those crazy party streets, so nights were actually pretty peaceful.

What really sold me on this place – and why I’d probably book it again – is how it strikes this balance between being properly located and not feeling touristy. You can walk to the Old Town Square in about eight minutes (I timed it), but you’re also close enough to the New Town that you can duck into a proper Czech hospoda for a beer that costs what locals pay, not tourist prices. The staff speaks decent English, though they’re not overly chatty – which I actually appreciated. Check-in was smooth, they gave me practical info about the neighborhood without the whole rehearsed tourism spiel, and when I needed an extra towel, they sorted it out without any drama. The 8.4 rating makes sense to me – it’s not going to blow your mind, but it delivers exactly what you’d want from a Prague stay without any unpleasant surprises.

Reviews

  • Superb – Sunnynl from Netherlands – 15 May 2024 (9/10)

location was really good. We had to park our car 5min walk away and parking place was a bit difficult to park but it was very safe parking lot. so It was all good. clean nice apartment. a staff was very helpful as well. we loved it.

    What could be improved: none.

  • Nice two bedroom apartment. – Brian from Australia – 16 December 2023 (9/10)

Nice clean spacious 2 bedroom apartment close to main train station and walking distance into old town centre. It is an easy seven minute walk to the train station and beware of taxis. The apartment has a modern interior and has a well equipped kitchen. Very large bathroom. Good heating and WiFi. The building has a lift. Good communications with owner. Lidl supermarket a couple of minutes walk from apartment.

What could be improved: No dedicated shower, hand-held shower head in bath. If you are arriving by train just make the easy short 7 minute walk to the apartment; Beware DO NOT take a taxi, the station does not have a taxi-stand (and the visitor directions are poor) Taxis are rare and unreliable, we wasted almost an hour in trying to find a taxi and the driver involved was dishonest.

  • Good – Sylvia from Australia – 1 September 2024 (7/10)

They had fans as it was very hot

  • This is an excellent base from which to explore Prague. – Tim from United Kingdom – 31 January 2023 (9/10)

location was excellent, with a tram stop within 100metres and Mustek metro station a few minutes away. it was warm, safe and comfortable. The property agents were helpful and responsive

What could be improved: curtains, bedding and kitchen cutlery are all a bit tired and would benefit from some attention

  • Lovely 3 days in prague – Christina from United Arab Emirates – 5 April 2025 (10/10)

We had a lovely stay with our kids and the location is super also the facility is well equipped and the staff are ver kind and helpful ..we loved it 🙏

  • Nice apartment in perfect location – Olha from Ukraine – 28 March 2024 (10/10)

Perfect location, nice apartment, clean, fresh, friendly owner/company.

What could be improved: there was no curtain in the bathroom, it was not pleasant to take a shower.

  • Recommended apartment. – Reka from Hungary – 26 July 2023 (10/10)

Excellent location, nice interior design, clean flat. The host was very nice, we could stay longer till waiting for our train.

What could be improved: The elevator of the house is really small and ask the host how does it work. If there is a party in the house (in another apartment for rent), it can cause restless night.

  • Incorrectly listed and below average for the price. – Nick from United States – 14 December 2024 (1/10)

What could be improved: It is incorrectly listed on Booking.com as a 2 Bedroom and 1 living room sofa. This is NOT the case, as it is a single bedroom and 2 "beds" in the living room. The owners know this, are aware of this, and failed to relay this. Upon query, they said "Yeah its listed wrong" with no further recourse. I would NOT stay here again.

  • Misleading advertising. – Souvira from Australia – 17 April 2024 (3/10)

Described as two-bedroom apartment, but it is not. It's one bedroom with a second bed in a corner of the living room. Bed linen and blankets are of bad quality and are not at all suitable for a city short-term rental accommodation.

What could be improved: Misleading advertising. This is not a two-bedroom apartment but one bedroom and a second bed in the corner of the living room.

  • we wouldn’t want to stay in this apartment again – Diana from Germany – 27 December 2022 (4/10)

we liked the location of the apartment and that is all that we liked

What could be improved: although the location was good, it wasn’t comfortable to get to the apartment, the elevator is too small, we traveled with children and our buggy didn’t fit the lift. the apartment shares a common area with 2 other apartments and there was noise and a heavy smell of smoke. the apartment itself was not really as it was on the pictures, especially the bedding and the towels. it was not very clean, especially under the sofa bed.
