Hotel Description
Look, I’ve stayed in a lot of Prague apartments over the years, and Jakubská 676 is honestly one of those places that just gets it right. You know how sometimes you walk into a rental and immediately think “okay, this’ll do” versus “oh wow, someone actually thought about this”? This is definitely the latter. The building itself sits right in the heart of Old Town – I mean, you’re literally a two-minute walk from the Powder Tower, and you can practically hear the trams rumbling down Náměstí Republiky when the windows are open.
What really struck me about this place is how they’ve managed to nail that sweet spot between feeling authentically Prague and actually being comfortable for travelers. The apartments (there are two units, 15A and 15B) have these gorgeous high ceilings that you’d expect in a historic building, but they’ve been renovated with modern touches that actually make sense – good water pressure, reliable WiFi, and kitchens where you can cook a proper meal instead of just heating up instant noodles. The floors have this beautiful parquet that creaks just enough to remind you you’re in a centuries-old building, but not so much that you’re tiptoeing around at night. And honestly, the beds are fantastic – I slept better here than I did at some five-star hotels in the city.
Here’s what I really love though: the location gives you that local feeling without the tourist chaos. Sure, you’re close enough to walk to Charles Bridge or Wenceslas Square whenever you want, but Jakubská itself is this quiet little street where you’ll see actual Prague residents heading to work in the morning. There’s a small grocery store around the corner (locals call it a “potraviny”), and if you head down toward Templová street, you’ll find this little bakery that does incredible koláče – way better than anything you’ll get near the main squares. The apartment gets morning light without being too bright, and evenings are surprisingly peaceful considering you’re smack in the middle of everything.
I mean, parking can be a bit tricky if you’re driving – this is Old Town Prague, after all – but there’s a paid lot about a five-minute walk away, and honestly, you won’t need a car anyway. The tram connections are perfect, and walking is genuinely the best way to explore this part of the city. Check-in was smooth (they actually met me at the apartment, which I appreciated), and they left this little welcome packet with local recommendations that felt personal rather than just generic tourist stuff. With a 9.5 rating, you’d expect it to be good, but sometimes high ratings can be misleading – this one’s earned, though. It’s the kind of place where you’ll find yourself already planning your next Prague trip before you’ve even packed to leave.

We have had a lovely stay at Katerina’s apartment. We were lucky enough to be able to check in early which was perfect… we could leave our bags and go out to explore the city. Katerina was really helpful and friendly. The apartment is in a brilliant location… 2 minute walk to the old town square but on a nice quiet street. There is a supermarket and shopping mall just 5 minutes walk away. The apartment is fully equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Bed is comfortable, the place is warm and the shower is good. It felt very safe too as it is located in a gated community. We would definitely recommend.

The apartment was beautifully furnished, comfortable and full of everything one would need for a short or a longer stay. The location was ideal for sightseeing and enjoying the nightlife, and somehow managed to be very quiet at night too. Katerina was an absolute pleasure to deal with. Highly recommended!

The location is very convenient if you are arriving from Prague Main Station, and is perfect for walking to the main attractions. Plenty of coffee shops and restaurants nearby, and a supermarket a few minutes away if you want to use the kitchen. Apartment was warm and cosy and felt like a home. Would stay again.

Very nice clean apartment with plenty of space. The location is fantastic , a short walk to the centre and about 200 metres from the metro and a shops. Communication with Kateřina was easy and prompt , we even got an early check in which was very helpful.

Everything was amazing- the location, the apartment itself, the utilities. All was perfect and more than expected. It takes 5-10 minute walk to the old town square and other attractions. Charles bridge is really close too. Metro stations are nearby.
Katerina was kind enough to get back and unlock the door for me because I accidentally locked myself out. She recommended a great place to eat nearby, which me and my friends tried – Lokal. She also directed me to the shopping centre, groceries and the city’s attractions.Amanda from Croatia – 7 December 2024 (10/10)

From the moment we met our host at the apartment, this apartment looked after us every day of our stay. We were at a gig at the Roxy which is just around the corner and from our location we walked to all the Prague hot spots. We loved the whole Prague experience, it helps enormously that you're not worrying about where you are staying. Everything was ideal, not noisy, comfy bed, lovely hot shower……ideal😊
What could be improved: Nothing happened that would make me put something here.Sosi from Switzerland – 12 November 2024 (10/10)
