The location on Řehořova street is actually pretty brilliant though, and I mean that. You’re literally a five-minute walk from Hlavní nádraží (that’s the main train station), which sounds terrible until you realize it means you can drop your bags and be exploring Wenceslas Square in about ten minutes without dealing with trams or taxis.

The building itself has that post-socialist apartment block vibe that’s everywhere in this part of Prague, but inside it’s been renovated with a lot more care than you’d expect from a 3-star place. The apartments – and they really are proper apartments, not just hotel rooms with a mini-fridge – have these surprisingly spacious kitchens where you can actually cook real meals. I spent a good chunk of one morning making coffee and watching people hurry to catch trains from the window, which honestly felt more authentic than staying in some polished hotel in Old Town. The Wi-Fi is solid (I worked from there a few days), and the heating actually works, which isn’t always a given in Prague’s shoulder seasons.

Here’s the thing about the neighborhood that most people don’t realize – yes, it’s near the train station, so there’s some street noise and the occasional drunk tourist stumbling around at midnight, but you’re also in this weird sweet spot where actual Czechs live and work. There’s a proper grocery store (Albert) about two blocks away, plus this little Vietnamese place that does incredible pho for like 120 crowns. The area gets quieter once you’re off the main drag, and walking to the city center takes maybe 15 minutes through streets that most tourists never see. I actually preferred it to staying right in the thick of things – you get a breather from the crowds but you’re never more than a short walk from whatever you want to do. The 7.9 rating feels about right; it’s not going to blow your mind, but it delivers exactly what it promises without any nasty surprises.

  location close to the train station, quiet area, nice view from the window, heating.
  washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, toaster….plenty of kitchen utensils.
  nice shower, comfy bed, soft towels. fridge…. kettle that i used a lot.

  The location is great, the shared kitchen and other amenities were a great addition to the room. I was surprised to see a washer, we used it and it was free. Instructions were easy to follow to get the keys and to the room. They were very quick to respond in case anything happens.

  We had a delightful stay at the Apartment CONTINENTS, located conveniently close to the main train and bus stations. The apartment was impeccably clean and quiet, creating a cozy sanctuary just a short walk from the city center. It offered a bright atmosphere and all the essentials for a comfortable stay.
  
  What we truly appreciated was the attention to detail: the apartment was stocked with hygiene products like shower gel and shampoo, as well as kitchen essentials including coffee, tea, sugar, and even some delightful treats. The heated bathroom floor was a luxurious touch, adding to the overall warmth of the place. The beds were comfortable, and the kitchen was well-equipped, complete with a washing machine and clothes dryer—though we didn’t need to use them.
  
  Our stay was almost perfect; however, we noticed a small inconvenience with AC. Also, we initially faced some minor issues upon arrival, but Galina, the housekeeper, was extremely hospitable and prompt in addressing all our concerns. Her welcoming and helpful nature definitely enhanced our experience, meriting an additional point for her exceptional service.
