Apartmany Chodov Overview

First Impressions

When I first pulled up to Apartmany Chodov, I’ll be honest — it’s not the flashiest place you’ll see in Prague. But you know what? Sometimes that’s exactly what you want. This three-star property sits quietly on Hněvkovská street, and there’s something refreshingly straightforward about it. The building has that practical Czech apartment block feel, but it’s well-maintained and actually quite welcoming once you get inside.

The Apartment Experience

Here’s where things get interesting — each apartment feels like you’re staying in someone’s actual home rather than a sterile hotel room. The spaces are generous, and I mean genuinely spacious, not that cramped European standard you sometimes get. The kitchen setup is pretty decent too, with enough equipment to actually cook a proper meal if you want to save some crowns. I found myself making coffee there every morning instead of hunting for cafes, which honestly became part of the charm. The layout encourages you to settle in and truly experience the neighborhood like a local resident would.

Location Perks

Now, Chodov isn’t exactly Prague’s historic center, but that’s actually worked in my favor every time I’ve stayed here. You’re about 20 minutes from the main tourist areas by metro, which means you get to see how actual Praguers live. The Chodov shopping center is practically next door — massive place with everything from groceries to electronics. Plus, and this is huge, there’s parking right on site that won’t cost you extra. Try finding that in Old Town, I dare you. This combination of amenities makes the location genuinely practical for extended stays.

Practical Advantages

The metro connection is honestly better than I expected. Chodov station is close enough that you can easily zip into the city center whenever you want, but you’re not dealing with the noise and crowds when you come back to rest. I’ve noticed couples seem to really appreciate this setup — there’s something nice about having your own space to retreat to after a day of sightseeing. The recent guest ratings for location (8.3) make total sense once you experience how smoothly everything connects. The accessibility combined with the peaceful residential atmosphere creates an ideal balance.

Why Guests Keep Coming Back

Look, this isn’t going to be the most Instagram-worthy place you’ll ever stay, but it delivers on the things that actually matter during a trip. The value is solid, especially when you factor in the free parking and the ability to prepare some of your own meals. I’ve recommended it to friends who wanted to experience Prague without paying tourist-zone prices, and they’ve all thanked me later. It’s that rare find where the practical benefits — space, location access, and reasonable rates — come together in a way that just works for real travelers. Whether you’re visiting for business or leisure, this property consistently exceeds expectations.

The concierge service in Prague can arrange exclusive tours of Prague Castle, secure reservations at traditional beer halls, and organize personalized visits to Charles Bridge and the UNESCO World Heritage historic center.

Reviews of Apartmany Chodov

  • Great for large groups – Jack from United Kingdom – 7 April 2025 (10/10)

What a place! Great apartment with plenty of space to fit a large number of people. A 24/7 Garage is a 5 minute walk away so very easy to get anything you need. Great transport links into the centre of Prague being able to get from your front door to the city centre in 20 minutes.

What could be improved: Door was a bit hard to work out how to lock.

  • Very good – Tetiana from Poland – 10 March 2025 (8/10)

It’s incredibly spacious, with plenty of room for everyone to feel comfortable. The kitchen is large. Everything was spotless and well-maintained, which made our stay even more enjoyable.

The location is also great – the metro is just a short walk away, making it easy to get around.

    Overall, we loved our stay

What could be improved: While the soundproofing wasn’t the best, it didn’t bother us at all and didn’t affect our experience.

  • Sports team went on a event in Prague. We needed a stay for the whole team. – Danijel from Croatia – 29 September 2024 (10/10)

Metro station nearby. Quiet and relaxing neighborhood.

  • Cheap accommodation, despite the partial lack of cleanliness, it can be used well. I recommend. – Máté from Hungary – 29 May 2024 (8/10)

In a quiet location, close to the subway and one stop from a large shopping center, and everything can be reached by subway. There is plenty of space in the accommodation.

What could be improved: The cleanliness could have been better. Kitchen and windows needed cleaning.

  • Very good – Christopher from Germany – 7 January 2024 (8/10)

It's very spacious and clean. Staff is also really efficient in replying to messages.

  • Very good – Dina from Israel – 10 December 2023 (8/10)

The host was very nice and helpful

  • Good accommodation – Kateryna from Slovakia – 5 November 2023 (9/10)

Very good location of the apartment – in a quiet area, 5 minutes to the metro, 1 metro stop to a large shopping center Westfield with many shops, cafes, etc. The apartments have everything for a comfortable stay.

What could be improved: Upon arrival there was a very strong smell of bleach in the room

  • Superb – Kamichak from Serbia – 4 July 2023 (9/10)

It has all you need. Quiet, pleasant neighbourhood.
Fast replies from the owner, good communication.

What could be improved: The bed is dropping down in the middle, so not very good for the back.
Hygiene could be better (dirty trash can, cobwebs)

  • Not everything seems as it appears – Vedad from Bosnia and Herzegovina – 20 June 2023 (6/10)

The location is good, metro is near and WiFi was great no issues with it. Owner is friendly and replies quickly

What could be improved: The hygiene was at a minimum, the rooms were dirty, under the bed we found leftovers from previous guests, the bathroom was very dirty and the bathroom wasn't very functional (the sink and the toilet bowl are in 2 separate rooms). This all may be due to our room being changed in the last second which we were notified by the owner. He stated that it was an "upgrade" but it was a serious downgrade because we were in the floor level room unlike the room we were supposed to be in (room with balcony), it seems the reason why is that their old or more frequent guests were there at that period. Us being on the floor level the noise was horrible due to the people who were staying in the room we were supposed to be in were very loud.

  • Good and basic place for visiting Prague – Erik from Netherlands – 6 May 2023 (6/10)

Location at just a few minutes walk from the metro station, bringing you directly into town. 4 separate beds (no twin beds), which was good for us, being a father with 2 grown-up sons.

What could be improved: Beds were kind of hard and on every of the 3 nights we stayed, there was quite some racket (people, cars) just under our bedroom window around midnight.
