Apartmán Colette Overview

First Impressions

Walking up to Apartmán Colette on Voráčovská street, you immediately get the sense that you’ve stumbled onto something special. This three-star property sits in what locals know is one of Prague’s most coveted neighborhoods — and honestly, the 9.7 location score isn’t just marketing fluff. I mean, when couples specifically rate a place 9.7 for romantic getaways, you know there’s something genuinely appealing about the area. The building itself has that understated Prague charm that doesn’t scream tourist trap, which I actually appreciate. The architectural details showcase classic European elegance that immediately sets expectations for a memorable stay.

The Neighborhood Advantage

What really struck me about this location is how it manages to feel authentically Prague while still being incredibly accessible. You’re in Prague’s top-rated area, but it’s not the kind of place where you’re dodging tour groups every five minutes. The street has this lovely residential feel — you know, the kind where you’ll see locals heading to work in the morning and couples strolling in the evening. There’s something refreshing about staying somewhere that feels like a real neighborhood rather than a hotel district. The surrounding area offers authentic cafes, local shops, and tree-lined streets that capture the essence of Prague living.

The Space Itself

The apartment setup here is what sets Apartmán Colette apart from your typical hotel experience. You get actual living space to spread out, which honestly makes such a difference when you’re staying more than just a night or two. The layout feels thoughtfully designed rather than cramped — there’s room to actually unpack and settle in. I found myself using the space differently than I would a standard hotel room, and that’s exactly what you want from an apartment-style stay. The furnishings blend comfort with functionality, creating an atmosphere that feels like a home away from home.

Morning Routine

The continental breakfast here is solid without being fancy, which suits the overall vibe perfectly. What I really appreciated was having the option to eat at my own pace rather than rushing through a hotel dining room. Plus, there’s something nice about starting your Prague morning in a more relaxed setting before heading out to explore. The fact that they offer free private parking on-site is honestly a game-changer if you’re driving — finding parking in Prague can be a real headache, so having that sorted removes one major travel stress. The breakfast selection includes fresh local ingredients that give you a taste of Czech culinary traditions.

Why Guests Love It

Look, the 9.3 overall rating tells most of the story, but what really comes through is how this place gets the balance right. You’re not paying five-star prices, but you’re getting an experience that feels more personal and authentic than most hotels in this price range. The location puts you within easy reach of Prague’s highlights without the tourist chaos, and the apartment-style setup gives you flexibility that couples especially seem to love. It’s the kind of place where you can actually imagine living for a few days rather than just sleeping between sightseeing sessions. The combination of comfort, location, and value creates an experience that consistently exceeds guest expectations.

Reviews of Apartmán Colette

  • Angelina from Germany – 28 January 2025 (10/10)

    Clean and spacious, fully equipped

  • Martin from Italy – 8 December 2024 (10/10)

Great place for a small group to visit Prague. 30 min by foot from center (but also close to metro/tram).
    Clean and confortable.

What could be improved: Nothing, very good price/quality.

  • Kovacs from Romania – 5 August 2024 (10/10)

We liked the nice and quiet location in rezidential area, in a very good neighbourhood. The apartment is a few minutes away from the public transportation. The host is very nice. We arrived by car, so the parking inside of property was a big plus. The beds are very comfortable. There was no TV set at the apartment, that wasn't a problem for us, but maybe for others it could be.
We recommend it for people who like a quiet location.

    What could be improved: –

  • Peter from United Kingdom – 25 May 2024 (9/10)

What could be improved: Property at the top of a hill. Very hard going at my age.

  • Luis from United States – 6 November 2023 (10/10)

The apartment itself is beautiful, in my opinion. I just loved the vibes of the furniture and the big bedroom, it added to the aesthetic of the whole trip. AMAZING bathroom with lovely facilities. We didn't cook, but good kitchen if that's something you plan to do, and we did use the kitchen table quite a bit for computer work. The Wi-Fi was great–fast, and easy to connect. Finally, the privacy of an apartment all to yourself is, in my opinion, priceless.

What could be improved: I wish I could've picked up the whole place and set it in central Prague, but the drive to the city center was super quick, and the Ubers were very cheap. Finally, there is a lock on the gate to the property and the front door of the building; however, there is no lock on the front door of the apartment itself or the bedroom, so keep that in mind if that's an issue for you.

  • Sian from United Kingdom – 29 October 2023 (8/10)

Jana communicated clearly with me. We met outside the local metro station and she walked me to her house, showed me around where I was staying. It's self contained and is on the ground floor of a house. I liked the space and facilities. The place was spotless. There was complimentary tea and coffee.

What could be improved: It was outside the city, in a suburban area, but there was a metro station 5-10 minutes away. There aren't many cafes, places to go for a drink or places to shop; there is a small Tesco Express near the metro.

  • Viktorija from Lithuania – 9 October 2023 (10/10)

A very charming place with special antigue aura. Everything was very good, clean, calm and safe location, secure parking, well equipped kitchen, huge room, easy communication with the owner. 10 out of 10

What could be improved: The gate key is a little complicated and sometimes gets stuck.

  • Severine from France – 17 August 2023 (9/10)

The host is super friendly and kind.
The place is quiet, located in a residential area, but relatively close to the transports (metro C and tram).
Possibility to park a car inside the property.
The garden is a plus, enjoyable at the end of the day.
    Rooms are big.

What could be improved: Missing a few kitchen equipment for the stay to be perfect (a second pan, a microwave and a few other utensils).

  • Zsuzsanna from Hungary – 10 April 2023 (10/10)

The place was in a lovely location. The host was very kind, and I espeially loved the thoughtful extras left for us: coffee, creamer, tea, even toothpast, shower gel and shampoo in the bathroom. I highly recommend this place!

  • Hauschildt from Georgia – 9 March 2023 (10/10)

    super friendly host, cozy apartment
