You know what struck me first about Aparthotel Rimska 14? It’s tucked away on this tree-lined street in Vinohrady that feels completely residential – I mean, you’re walking past actual Prague locals heading to the corner bakery, not tourist traps selling overpriced goulash. The building itself has that understated Czech elegance thing going on, where it’s clearly been renovated with care but doesn’t scream “look at me” like some of the flashier places in Old Town.

The apartments themselves are honestly better than I expected from the photos (which never happens, right?). Everything feels thoughtfully designed rather than just furnished – like someone actually considered how you’d live there for a week, not just crash for a night. The kitchenette is properly equipped, which matters if you want to grab fresh bread and cheese from the Náměstí Míru market just down the street instead of paying hotel breakfast prices every morning. Speaking of Náměstí Míru, that’s your lifeline to the rest of Prague – the metro station is maybe a seven-minute walk, and you can be in Wenceslas Square in under fifteen minutes. But here’s the thing about Vinohrady that guidebooks don’t really capture: it’s where you go to feel like you’re actually in Prague, not just visiting it. The neighborhood has this lived-in quality with proper cafes (try Café Louvre if you’re feeling fancy) and wine bars where locals actually hang out.

What really sets this place apart is how quiet it gets at night – and I’m someone who’s stayed in enough city hotels to know that’s not guaranteed. The courtyard seems to buffer most street noise, though you’ll still hear the occasional tram rumbling by on Korunní, which honestly just adds to the Prague atmosphere. The staff knows their stuff too, particularly about restaurant recommendations that aren’t in every travel blog. They pointed me toward this little wine bar called Bokovka that I never would’ve found otherwise. My only real complaint? The elevator is one of those charming-but-tiny European ones where you’re basically intimate with your luggage, but that’s hardly unique to this place. The 9.2 rating makes sense when you consider you’re getting apartment-style space and privacy with hotel-level service, all in a neighborhood where you can actually imagine living rather than just sightseeing. It’s the kind of place where you find yourself planning your next Prague trip before you’ve even checked out.

  Very good quality of the room (amenities, bed, furniture etc.) and of the common spaces. Relatively spacious room, well designed. Kind and helpful staff. Very convenient location.

  Small room, but with all the modern appliances ( a washer!) it was a great stay! Location is excellent.

  It was a really good stay. I had a small studio. I was at a work seminar, for two nights and it was located right in the middle between the location of the meeting place (around 30 mins) and the city center old town part (around 30 mins walk). And pretty close to the main station. The apartment was clean, comfortable, it had everything i needed in the kitchen. It was warm (it was cold in Prague while i stayed). I had everything i needed. Also there is a supermarket very close where i got some stuff for breakfast.

  Very clean, it had all the comforts someone might need, very central, very friendly staff. The room was very small, but very spacious at the same time.

  Well equipped apartments, conveniently located with 24h reception. Great shower, air-conditioning and heating. They stored our luggage for us which was helpful and the staff were great.
  
  What could be improved: Checkout was a little early for us at 10am and because the cleaners come at that time for the whole building it's not possible to get a late Checkout.
