Hotel Description
You know what struck me first about Aparthotel Austria Suites? It’s this perfectly unassuming building on Štefánikova that you’d walk right past if you didn’t know what you were looking for. I mean, Prague 5 isn’t exactly where most tourists end up, but honestly – that’s kind of the point. You’re tucked away in this residential neighborhood where actual Praguers live, and there’s something refreshing about stepping out your door to find a local hospoda instead of another tourist trap selling overpriced goulash.
The suites themselves are exactly what you’d expect from a solid 3-star place, but with that extra space that makes all the difference when you’re staying more than a couple nights. Each one has a proper kitchenette – not just a mini-fridge and a prayer, but actual counter space and decent cookware. I actually ended up cooking breakfast most mornings because there’s a Tesco just around the corner, and honestly, after a few days of restaurant meals, scrambled eggs in your pajamas hits different. The whole setup feels more like borrowing a friend’s apartment than staying in a hotel, which works perfectly if you’re doing the longer Prague stay thing. The building itself has this understated Austrian efficiency to it (hence the name, I guess) – everything works, nothing’s flashy, and the soundproofing is surprisingly good considering you’re in the city.
Here’s what I really appreciated though – the location is actually brilliant once you figure it out. Sure, you’re not stumbling out your front door onto Charles Bridge, but you’re a quick tram ride from everything that matters, and more importantly, you’re living like a local. Petřín Park is literally up the hill if you want to escape the crowds, and that walk up through the neighborhoods gives you those postcard Prague views without fighting through tour groups. The staff seems to get that most people staying here are either business travelers or tourists who’ve figured out that central Prague gets exhausting after a while. They’re helpful without being hovering, and check-in was refreshingly straightforward – no upselling, no lengthy presentations about amenities you’ll never use. With an 8.7 rating, it’s clearly hitting that sweet spot where everything works well without any big surprises, good or bad. If you’re the type who values having your own space and doesn’t need a concierge holding your hand, this place just makes sense.

Reviews
Exceptional – Cattus from Romania – 21 July 2025 (10/10)
The breakfast is brought to the door in a small basket. The refrigerator already had ham, butter and yogurt.
What could be improved: A pretty cobweb was hanging from the ceiling.
The small kitchen has no ventilation, so when the toaster is used, the smell is unpleasant.
There is no coffee maker. It is true we were offered instant coffee and coffee milk, just instant coffee is too strong for my taste. There are cheap coffee makers at c. €10–12, I think such a property can afford one per room.I definitely recommend it for short and long trips. – Teresa from United Kingdom – 9 July 2025 (9/10)
Very nice and vcomforrable hotel, very good location, close to the city center. Friendly and very helpful staff, delicious breakfasts.
A great base for sightseeing Prague.Superb – Elena from North Macedonia – 7 July 2025 (9/10)
The staff was excellent.
What could be improved: The balcony railing. It's possible for things to fall easily. It's nice if it's at least half enclosed with plexiglass or something similar. For this money and for the property's location it was very good to stay here. The stuff is very kind – Dániel from Hungary – 2 July 2025 (9/10)
The location is very good, not far from the city centre. The amount of breakfast was more than enough.
What could be improved: The room was very warm and although the property doesn' have an AC there was a quite loud (during the whole night)AC outdoor unit abov our head (we was on the top floor).Excellent value for money – Archana from New Zealand – 1 July 2025 (9/10)

What could be improved: NothingSuperb – Susan from United Kingdom – 23 June 2025 (9/10)
