You know what caught me off guard about Apart Hotel Zborovska? It’s actually tucked away on this quiet residential street in Malá Strana, but you’re literally a five-minute walk from the chaos of Lesser Town Square. I mean, when I first arrived, I almost walked past it – the entrance is pretty understated, sort of blends into the neighborhood in that effortlessly elegant way Prague buildings do. The building itself has this lovely cream-colored facade that’s been restored really thoughtfully, and honestly, it feels more like staying in a well-appointed apartment than a typical hotel.

The apart-hotel thing really works here because the units have proper kitchenettes (not those sad little coffee stations), which is perfect if you’re planning to hit up the Havelské Tržiště market and actually cook some of those gorgeous vegetables and local cheeses. The rooms themselves are spacious by Prague standards – and I’ve stayed in plenty of those cramped Old Town places where you can barely open your suitcase. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night, even though you’re so close to everything. The street doesn’t get much through traffic, just locals heading home, so you can actually sleep with the windows open during those warm summer nights. The decor strikes this nice balance between modern comfort and acknowledging you’re in a historic city – clean lines but warm wood touches, none of that sterile business hotel vibe.

Here’s the thing that really sold me on this place: the staff actually knows the neighborhood. When I asked about getting to Petřin Hill for sunrise (which, by the way, is absolutely worth the early wake-up), the woman at the front desk didn’t just point me toward the funicular – she told me about the walking path that starts just behind the Hunger Wall, maybe ten minutes from the hotel. That’s local knowledge you can’t Google. The 8.1 rating makes total sense because it’s not trying to be flashy or over-the-top luxury, it’s just doing everything really well. The Wi-Fi actually works, the shower pressure is solid, and there’s this lovely little courtyard where you can have your morning coffee without feeling like you’re on display for every tourist walking by. If you’re the type who wants to feel like you’re living in Prague rather than just visiting it – and you don’t need a concierge or room service – this place gets it right. Plus, you’re close enough to walk to Prague Castle but far enough from Wenceslas Square that you won’t be dodging bachelor parties at midnight.

  Great location in terms of access to city, transport, supermarket, and riverside. Large space for a small family and the provision of requirements such as infant bed. Ideal for short stays if fancy an apartment not hotel.
  
  What could be improved: While Instructions were provided in terms of access via code for apartment and keybox, it wasn’t clear how key operated. Had to make a few attempts at late night as door didn’t open after unlocking and needing a further action on the key latch. The adapter (travel) kept couldn’t be inserted into EU sockets and hence dysfunctional. Again had to go around at odd times to look for one as reception desk isn’t located in this property. The instructions for other appliances such as stovetop, wash machine can be kept handy. Staircase to access lifts was again tricky can be informed ahead, with lift closing off suddenly sometimes, although figured out best way over next day. Weekend support/emergency can be responsive as have to rely on messaging via booking site or the weekday phone contact.
