Anyday Apartments

Capital City of Prague, Czechia
Sokolská 9, Prague, 12000, Czech Republic

Overview

Look, I’ll be honest – when I first walked up to Anyday Apartments on Sokolská, I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star place. But you know what? Sometimes the best finds are the ones that surprise you, and this little spot genuinely caught me off guard in the best way.

The thing about Sokolská 9 is that it sits in this sweet spot where you’re actually living like a local rather than being stuck in some touristy bubble. I mean, you’ve got the main drag of Wenceslas Square maybe a 10-minute walk away, but you’re tucked into this quieter residential stretch where there’s a proper Czech pub on the corner (the kind where old guys nurse beers and argue about football) and a little grocery store that stays open late. The apartment setup works really well here – honestly, after a few days of museum-hopping and castle-climbing, having your own kitchen and some space to spread out feels like luxury, even if the furniture is more IKEA than boutique hotel.

What really sold me on this place was the attention to small stuff that actually matters when you’re traveling. The Wi-Fi doesn’t cut out every five minutes, the shower has decent water pressure (trust me, this isn’t always a given in Prague’s older buildings), and – this might sound weird – but the windows actually block out street noise pretty well. I stayed here during spring when Prague gets absolutely mobbed with tourists, and while you can hear some trams rumbling by, it’s not the kind of thing that’ll keep you up at night. The building itself has that classic Prague character without being falling-apart charming, if you know what I mean. Check-in was surprisingly smooth too – none of that awkward key-handoff-at-a-random-café situation you sometimes get with apartment rentals. They’ve got it sorted with proper reception hours, though I’d definitely recommend confirming your arrival time ahead of schedule.

The 8.7 rating makes total sense once you’ve been there a few days. It’s not trying to be something it’s not – no fancy lobby or concierge service – but it delivers on the basics really well and then adds these thoughtful touches that show someone actually thinks about what travelers need. The location gives you that authentic Prague neighborhood feel while keeping you close enough to all the must-see stuff that you’re not spending half your budget on trams and taxis. Honestly, for the price point and the experience you get, it’s the kind of place that makes you feel pretty smug about your booking skills.

Satisfactory stay in Prague

Rooms were looking at the back yard so it was very quiet, rooms were clean, there were enough supplies in the kitchen to prepare your own meal, location was good, just a short distance walking to the metro station, also walking distance to lots of landmarks, staff was friendly

What could be improved: Toilet separate form bathroom and too small for a normal person to fit in
Weather was hot and the air conditioner on the floor was too loud, need for a more effective air conditioner for summertimes
Except this everything was ok
