Andel Centre SPIRIT Overview

You know what? I wasn’t expecting much from Andel Centre SPIRIT when I first walked up to it on Kovaku street – honestly, the name sounds like some corporate conference center, right? But this 3-star spot actually surprised me in the best way possible. It sits right in Smíchov, which I mean, isn’t the postcard-pretty part of Prague everyone talks about, but that’s exactly why it works.

The thing is, you’re literally a five-minute walk from the Anděl metro station (the modern one with all that funky architecture), so getting into Old Town is ridiculously easy. But here’s what I really appreciated – you can grab dinner at one of those authentic Czech pubs on Radlická street without fighting through crowds of tourists taking selfies. The hotel itself has this clean, no-nonsense vibe that feels more European business traveler than American chain hotel, if that makes sense. My room was smaller than what you’d get in the States for the same price, but everything worked perfectly and the shower pressure was actually decent (always a gamble in Prague, honestly). The staff at check-in spoke better English than my Czech, which… well, let’s just say my Czech is terrible, but they were genuinely helpful about restaurant recommendations.

What really sold me on this place was the neighborhood feel – in the morning, you’ll hear trams rumbling by and see actual Prague residents heading to work, not just tour groups with matching umbrellas. There’s a Tesco right around the corner for those essential European travel supplies (good coffee, weird but delicious snacks, cheap wine), and the whole area comes alive at night without being obnoxiously loud. I mean, you might hear some street noise if you’re a super light sleeper, but it’s city sounds, not party chaos. The 7.9 rating makes total sense to me – it’s not luxury, but it’s solid and reliable with little touches that show someone actually thought about what travelers need. Plus, and this is key if you’re renting a car, parking isn’t the nightmare it is closer to the castle. Would I stay here again? Absolutely, especially if I wanted to experience Prague like someone who actually lives there instead of just hitting the tourist highlights.

Early hotels booking in Prague is essential during major events like the Prague Spring Festival, as accommodations fill up quickly with visitors eager to experience the city’s renowned classical music scene and Gothic architecture.

  • Superb – Radulescu from Romania – 17 July 2025 (9/10)

The apartment was very spacious, comfortable and in a good location.

What could be improved: The check-out time is a bit too early and also it could use a washing machine for chlotes.

Very clean, spacious, great kitchen, good balcony view onto a courtyard, light and airy, excellent security.
Near to a bus station and tube. Near river so you can walk to Charles Bridge if you want .

Easy bus to airport three times an hour. Very short walk to main shopping centre in Andel

What could be improved: The one TV( in the kitchen) had no satellite service even though this was in the description.

What could be improved: I missed salt and toothpicks, everything else was fine.

  • Very good – Samuel from Germany – 13 June 2025 (8/10)

  • Superb – Alžbeta from Slovakia – 12 June 2025 (9/10)

    Big and open apartment

  • Nice for short stay. – Asta from Lithuania – 23 April 2025 (8/10)

Very comfortable beds, easy access to apartment, quick response from staff, spas iou’s apartment.

What could be improved: There is not enough furniture(for example for 8-9 person only 5 chairs), sofa would be great, needs some kitchen tools. It looks like 402 apartment in the middle of preparation process.

  • Happy with the stay but Health & safety was a let down. The first evening one of us sat on a chair in the balcony &a – Rosa from United Kingdom – 10 March 2025 (7/10)

Clean, spacious & quick responses when messaging reception. Good value for money.

What could be improved: Only provided one soap wash & 1 & 1/2 loo rolls for a group of 3. No sofa. Health & safety

  • Would come back – Monickaxxx from Czech Republic – 23 February 2025 (7/10)

Easy getting in, great communication with staff, comfortable beds, warm, spaceful and peaceful. Brilliant location

What could be improved: Strange and weird people coming to hostel which is downstairs

  • More like flat rental rather than a hotel – Cem from Czech Republic – 15 January 2025 (8/10)

Clean place. Comfortable rooms. Easy to get in with a code in the phone. Kitchen in the room with all tools/stove/fridge available. Nice location near Andel metro.

What could be improved: The message responses were too slow (it is done through booking.com because there is no staff around to communicate).
The price is high considering the no-human service (no reception service or similar help staff available).
