Andaz Prague, By Hyatt Overview
Honestly, when I first walked into the Andaz Prague, I wasn’t sure what to expect – I mean, it’s tucked into this gorgeous Art Nouveau building right on Senovazne Square, but from the outside it still looks pretty traditional. Then you step through those doors and wow, they’ve managed to do something really clever here. The lobby feels like someone took classic Prague architecture and gave it this sleek, contemporary makeover without losing any of the original character.
The location is actually perfect if you know Prague at all. You’re literally a two-minute walk from Wenceslas Square (which, let’s be honest, can get pretty touristy), but Senovazne Square itself is much quieter – you get that authentic Prague vibe without all the crowds. I loved that I could grab coffee at one of the local cafés just around the corner in the morning, then be at the Old Town Square in about ten minutes on foot. The tram connections are right there too, which saved me a fortune on taxis. What really struck me was how the staff seemed to actually know the neighborhood – when I asked about a good spot for dinner that wasn’t full of tour groups, the concierge recommended this tiny wine bar on Vinohrady that I never would’ve found otherwise.
The rooms are where this place really shines though. Mine faced the square, and I was worried about noise, but the windows are surprisingly good at blocking out the tram sounds (there’s a line that runs pretty regularly). The design is sort of minimalist but warm – lots of natural wood and these really comfortable textures that make you want to actually hang out in the room instead of just sleeping there. The bathroom was one of those rainfall shower situations that actually works, not like some hotels where it’s all style and no pressure. You know what impressed me most? The little details – like how they have these locally-made toiletries that smell amazing, and the minibar isn’t ridiculously overpriced. Check-in was smooth too, no standing around waiting while they “prepare your room” even though it’s already afternoon.
I stayed there in early October, which is honestly the perfect time to visit Prague – the summer crowds are gone but it’s not freezing yet. The hotel’s restaurant gets pretty busy during dinner service, but if you eat a bit earlier (around 6:30), you can usually get a table without reservations. The breakfast spread is solid without being overwhelming – good local pastries, decent coffee, and they don’t make you feel rushed even if you stumble down at 10 AM. With a 9.1 rating, you’d expect it to be good, but this place actually lives up to the hype. It’s one of those hotels where everything just works the way it should, and you end up having a better time in the city because you’re not dealing with any accommodation drama.
Many travelers prefer to book apartments in Prague through local agencies that offer personalized recommendations and insider knowledge about the best neighborhoods for exploring the city’s rich medieval heritage.

Location, quality, comfortable, extra clean, nicest staff from reception and concierge guys. I liked the free mini bar idea. It was minimum but nice touch two bottles of fine juices and sparkling water everyday beside the two bottles of water every day. They also brought additional two bottles of water each evening.

The suite was very spacious and the bathroom too! It was a modern hotel that opened since 3 years only but all the staff were experienced and welcoming. The room service was good (even though they don’t speak English which made it difficult at some time to get our request and comments) The breakfast had a lot of options that suits all tastes. The location is perfect at the old town of Prague , all places were easily reachable. Overall, it was a satisfying experience.
What could be improved: Sometimes it was difficult to reach the reception and room service by calling !Dr from United Arab Emirates – 31 December 2024 (9/10)

Very modern hotel with interesting interior accents. Great location from which you can see all the most important sights of Prague. The staff is always ready to help and very responsive. Tasty breakfast and I definitely recommend dinner at the ZEM restaurant, delicious to the last bite.
