Hotel Description

You know what caught me off guard about the Amigo City Centre? It’s one of those places that actually lives up to its name – you really are right in the thick of things on Legerova, but somehow it doesn’t feel chaotic once you’re inside. I mean, you’re basically walking distance from Wenceslas Square (maybe 8 minutes if you’re not dawdling), and honestly, that’s the sweet spot in Prague where you can hit the main sights without staying in tourist central where every restaurant menu has pictures on it.

The building itself has this sort of understated thing going on – not trying too hard to be boutique-y, but definitely not your standard chain hotel either. What I really appreciated was how the staff actually seemed to know the neighborhood. When I asked about getting to the castle without dealing with the tram crowds, the front desk guy gave me this route through Petřin Hill that I never would’ve found on my own. The rooms are what you’d expect from a solid 4-star – clean, comfortable beds (and I’m picky about mattresses), decent shower pressure. The street can get a bit lively on weekend evenings, but nothing earplugs can’t handle if you’re a light sleeper.

Here’s the thing that makes this place work, though – it’s positioned perfectly for people who want to actually experience Prague, not just photograph it. You’ve got authentic Czech pubs within a block (U Fleků is touristy but worth it for the beer hall experience), and you’re close enough to the New Town that you can grab groceries at Tesco or hit up local cafés that aren’t charging tourist prices. The 8.6 rating makes sense to me – it’s not going to blow your mind with luxury, but it gets all the important stuff right without any major headaches. Plus, if you’re planning to do day trips to Český Krumlov or Kutná Hora, the main train station is literally a 10-minute walk away, which saved me a fortune on taxis.

  I recommend this hotel,it's very close to the center of the old town ,to tram and train stations . Very comfortable room and bathroom . The breakfast was excellent and the housekeeping also . Very quiet and warm room all day long . Value for money . If I visit Prague again I will definitely book in this hotel !

  A room was comfortable. It is possible to regulate a temperature here. Room is clean and light. The hotel is easily located. I like that in the hotel there is breakfast, and near the hotel there are a lot of different fabulous restaurants with tasty dishes
  
  What could be improved: Coffee for breakfast was terrible; it was better to choose tea or cocoa. To get to the center you need to use a transport (I didn't think about it, when I was choosing a place to live). Wi-Fi works poorly, it's not enough to work remotely or watch some films

  Rooms spacious and clean. Large bathroom. Breakfast open for a long time and very tasty. All staff pleasant and helpful. Location very good, a short walk from main metro stations.

  I liked the architecture, the details on the exterior walls, the paintings inside and the fact that they kept everything original all the way to the old but restored and fully functional windows. It gave me a feeling of luxury.

  For this price, having this kind of room is such a good deal. Double bed with private toilet and shower. Breakfast buffet is also included. The hotel is also not too far from the tram and the metro.
