The thing about this hotel is that it sits in this sweet spot where you’re actually living like a local for a few days. Türkova street isn’t some touristy strip – it’s got that authentic Prague vibe with tram lines running nearby (which, honestly, becomes this comforting background hum rather than annoying noise). The 21 tram literally stops right there, and I mean *right there* – you can practically roll out of bed and be in Wenceslas Square in about fifteen minutes. What I really appreciated was how the front desk staff just casually mentioned the best tram routes like they were giving directions to a neighbor, not reciting some rehearsed spiel.

The rooms are what I’d call “smartly simple” – clean lines, decent space, and everything actually works (you’d be surprised how rare that combination can be). The beds are surprisingly comfortable for a mid-range place, and the bathrooms have this modern efficiency that makes you feel like someone thought about how real people use hotel bathrooms. I stayed during a busy summer week and never had issues with hot water or weird temperature fluctuations. The Wi-Fi is solid too, which matters when you’re trying to figure out Prague’s public transport app or book dinner reservations. One small thing that stuck with me – the housekeeping team genuinely seemed to care about details. Fresh towels that actually smelled clean, not just chemically sanitized.

What really won me over was the breakfast setup. It’s not fancy, but it hits all the right notes – proper Czech pastries alongside the international stuff, coffee that doesn’t taste like it’s been sitting around since 6 AM, and this relaxed atmosphere where you can actually plan your day without feeling rushed. The dining area gets great morning light, and you’ll often find yourself sitting next to other travelers who are clearly repeat visitors, which tells you something. The neighborhood itself grows on you quickly – there’s a small grocery store two blocks away that becomes your lifeline for snacks and drinks, plus some local pubs that don’t see many tourists but serve excellent beer at prices that won’t make you wince.

An 8.3 rating feels about right for this place. It delivers exactly what it promises without trying to be something it’s not. If you want to experience Prague from a genuinely local base rather than being stuck in the tourist bubble around Old Town, and you don’t need marble lobbies or concierge services, the Amedia Express just makes sense. Plus, you’ll save enough money to actually enjoy Prague’s incredible food scene instead of blowing your budget on accommodation.

  What could be improved: TV did nót work properly. Very few channels and nó English channels. Nice person at reception did explain to us that problem lies with supplier who is trying to fix the problem. ???

  The room was very comfortable and cozy. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was very good. Overall, a very good service and a nice experience staying at this hotel.
  
  What could be improved: As the hotel services are top class but it is very far from the city centre. The bus stops are quite far away from.the hotel due to which a person has to do quite some walk.

  Although is at the outskirts of the city, was close to where we had to be.

  The elevator was very often out of order (we were staying on the 9th floor and sometimes used the staircase).

  The hotel was extremely clean, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the location was great for me. The room was comfortable and big enough to accommodate someone staying for several days.
  
  What could be improved: My only concern was the bathroom; it wasn't designed well, and the floor gets very wet when having a shower, which caused me to slip and hit my foot. In my opinion, it is something the hotel should have a look at.
