Hotel Description
You know what struck me first about the Akcent? It’s tucked away on Stroupeznického street in this quieter part of Prague that honestly feels more like where actual Czechs live rather than the tourist zoo around Old Town. I mean, don’t get me wrong – you’re still totally connected to everything, but there’s something refreshing about walking past regular neighborhood cafés and seeing locals walking their dogs instead of dodging selfie sticks every five steps.
The hotel itself is solidly three-star, and I actually appreciate that they’re not trying to be something they’re not. The lobby’s got this clean, unfussy vibe – modern enough that you don’t feel like you’re staying in someone’s communist-era apartment, but not so trendy that it feels sterile. Check-in was surprisingly smooth (I’ve had some experiences in Prague where language barriers made things… interesting), and the staff actually seemed to know the neighborhood well when I asked about dinner spots. The rooms are what you’d expect – nothing fancy, but everything works, the beds are comfortable, and honestly, the soundproofing is better than some pricier places I’ve stayed in the city center where tram bells wake you up at 6 AM.
Here’s the thing that really sold me on this place – location-wise, you’re in that sweet spot where you can hop on the metro and be at Wenceslas Square in maybe fifteen minutes, but you’re also close enough to Petřin Hill that you can actually walk up there for sunset without it being a whole expedition. Plus, there’s this great little hospoda about two blocks away that serves proper goulash without the tourist markup. The area gets pretty quiet at night, which I actually loved after spending days wandering through the crowds at Charles Bridge. And parking – if you’re driving – isn’t the nightmare it is closer to the castle. I’m telling you, that 8.8 rating makes complete sense once you factor in the value. It’s not luxury, but it’s exactly what you want from a Prague base camp: clean, comfortable, well-located, and run by people who actually care about doing their job well rather than just collecting tourist euros.
Many travelers prefer to book apartments in Prague through local agencies that offer personalized recommendations and insider knowledge about the best neighborhoods for exploring the city’s rich medieval heritage.

Excellent hotel with a big, clean room and perfect location — I'll gladly come back – Mayzel from Israel – 25 July 2025 (10/10)
The room was really spacious — surprisingly large — and very clean and comfortable. The location was great, close to a Lidl supermarket and near the places I had planned to visit. The Wi-Fi worked well, and the breakfast was excellent.
What could be improved: I honestly didn’t find anything to complain about — everything was great. I’d love to stay at Akcent Hotel again when I’m next in Prague.everything was just perfect – Naya from Germany – 24 July 2025 (10/10)
We stayed at this hotel in Prague and everything was beyond amazing!
The location, the room size, the cleanliness, the reception staff, the air conditioning, and even the breakfast — all exceeded our expectations.
Honestly, I was truly impressed by the high quality and standards in every aspect.
The rooms are exceptionally well-equipped; ours had two air conditioners, a beautiful view with a balcony, an iron, and a fridge.
I can confidently say that this is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in.
Highly recommended!
What could be improved: nothingReally nice experience. If I am traveling to Prague again I will stay again. – Kamila from Switzerland – 23 July 2025 (10/10)
Really friendly staff, Breakfast, Location, Parking
Perfect for a city break – great location, clean and comfortable – Jelena from Serbia – 20 July 2025 (10/10)
I stayed at Akcent Hotel for 4 nights in June 2025 and was very happy with the experience. The location is perfect – a quiet and pleasant neighbourhood, right above a metro station entrance, with a Lidl on the corner, a shopping mall nearby, and plenty of restaurants in walking distance. The Staropramen brewery is also just around the corner.
The room was spacious, clean, comfortable, and well-designed. I had a spectacular view of Prague from the 6th floor. The AC worked well, though I hardly needed it thanks to the room’s good position. Despite the hotel being on a busy street, the soundproof windows kept it completely quiet.
Check-in and check-out were quick and smooth. The Wi-Fi worked well with no complaints. The staff were kind, helpful, and unobtrusive.
Breakfast was the only small downside – not a huge variety, but you’ll always find scrambled eggs, some local options like deer goulash or pâté, and a few vegetarian choices.
Overall, Akcent Hotel is not a luxury stay, but it's extremely clean, practical, and thoughtfully designed – ideal for a city break. I had no issues at all and would definitely return!
What could be improved: Breakfast could've had more variety.Exceptional – Mina from Serbia – 19 July 2025 (10/10)
Our room was absolutely beautiful, spacious, comfortable and clean. Breakfast had various dishes and great service. Location is fantastic, city centre is near, you can walk, if not, metro is in front of the hotel. Definitely, great value for money
It was great 3 day stay at Akcent and the front desk gave us informations we needed and they speak very good english – Silwal from Nepal – 9 July 2025 (10/10)
Perfect location, the breakfast, the front desk guys, clean room
What could be improved: NothingComfortable, well slept night in a modern spacy room with views – Ville from Finland – 7 July 2025 (8/10)
Room was spacy on top floor with huge floor to ceiling windows with views. Also a large balcony. Room was very modern, unlike the outside of the building or the reception. Breakfast was good with fair smount of variety.
Exceptional – Amurogis from Lithuania – 4 July 2025 (10/10)
Friendly staff, good room, perfect location. All needs were met
Great value for money – Caroline from Hungary – 30 June 2025 (9/10)
Very generous hotel in terms of room space, facilities, friendly staff from the reception to the other support staff. Breakfast had a good assortment of foods, fruit, youghurt, and drinks – I did not need to eat again 😉! It was filling enough to go on, until my next meal in the evening. Not to forget, the salads were fresh!
I loved the colours in the room and space in the bathroom. Great shower and comfortable toilet.
What could be improved: I would recommend a little revamping of the reception area, the elevator to the 6th floor and around the environs of the hotel.Exceptional – Kevinek2 from Czech Republic – 25 June 2025 (10/10)
great value, friendly staff
