Here’s the thing about staying on a boat in Prague — you get this gentle rocking motion that’s actually pretty soothing once you adjust to it. My room was compact but cleverly designed, making the most of the space with built-in furniture and a porthole window that looked out over the river. The bathroom was small (as you’d expect on a boat), but everything worked perfectly. I actually found myself falling asleep faster than usual — something about being on the water just feels relaxing.

Location and Getting Around

The location is honestly fantastic, and I can see why couples rate it so highly. You’re right on the riverbank with easy access to both sides of Prague, and there’s something magical about stepping off your floating hotel directly onto the embankment for evening walks. The tram connections are solid — you can reach Old Town in about 15 minutes, and Wenceslas Square isn’t much further. Plus, there’s parking available on site, which is a huge relief if you’re driving in Prague (trust me, you’ll appreciate not hunting for a spot in the city center).

Breakfast and Dining

The buffet breakfast was better than I expected for a three-star place. They serve it in the main dining area, which has these great panoramic windows overlooking the river — honestly, watching Prague wake up while you’re having coffee is pretty special. The selection wasn’t huge, but everything was fresh and there were enough options to keep me happy. The restaurant also serves dinner, and while I only ate there once, the Czech dishes were solid and reasonably priced.

Look, the Admiral Botel isn’t trying to be an upscale hotel, and that’s exactly why it works so well. It’s this unique experience that you can’t get anywhere else in Prague — where else can you sleep on a boat in the heart of a major European city? The staff genuinely seemed to enjoy working there, which always makes a difference, and the whole place has this relaxed, slightly quirky vibe that grows on you. If you’re looking for something different and don’t mind compact spaces, this floating hotel offers great value and an experience you’ll actually remember long after you leave Prague.
