Adeba Hotel Overview

Look, I’ll be honest – when I first walked up to the Adeba Hotel on Pernerova, I wasn’t expecting much from the exterior. It’s one of those solid, no-nonsense buildings that Prague does so well, but once you’re inside, there’s actually a really warm, welcoming vibe that caught me off guard. The lobby has this lived-in comfort that immediately tells you this isn’t some cookie-cutter chain trying too hard to impress anyone.

What really won me over, though, is how the staff just… gets it. You know what I mean? They’re not overly formal, but they clearly know their neighborhood inside and out. When I asked about getting to the city center, the guy at reception didn’t just point me toward the metro – he actually walked me outside and showed me the exact tram stop (it’s literally a three-minute walk) and mentioned that the 8 tram would get me to Wenceslas Square faster than taking the red line. That kind of local insight is gold when you’re trying to maximize your time in Prague. The whole Karlín district has this interesting mix of old Prague charm and newer developments – you’ll see beautifully restored Art Nouveau buildings right next to sleek office complexes, and honestly, it feels more authentic than staying right in the tourist bubble of Old Town.

The rooms themselves are exactly what you’d want from a solid 3-star place – clean, comfortable beds that don’t leave you with a sore back, and surprisingly good water pressure in the showers (trust me, this matters more than you think when you’ve been walking Prague’s cobblestones all day). My room faced the courtyard, so it was pretty quiet at night, though I could occasionally hear the trams rumbling by – but that’s just Prague being Prague, and I actually found it kind of soothing. The breakfast situation is straightforward Czech fare with some continental options thrown in. Nothing fancy, but the coffee was decent and there’s something satisfying about starting your day with proper Czech bread and local honey. I mean, you’re probably going to spend most of your time exploring the city anyway, so having a comfortable, well-located base that doesn’t break the bank is really what matters. Plus, there’s a great little pub called Lokál Karlín just around the corner where locals actually hang out – way better than the tourist traps closer to the castle, and the beer is about half the price.

Reviews of Adeba Hotel

  • Very good – Badeloch from Denmark – 21 July 2025 (8/10)

Helpful friendly staff at the reception,
nice neighbourhood, good beds, clean room with little fridge – for a reasonsble price.

What could be improved: The breakfast is ok, but the room where it is served is really dull. With plenty of nice brunch cafes close by, you dont need to book breakfast at the hotel.

If your room faces the steeet, bring ear plugs – it can be a bit noisy.

  • Super Hotel – Martin from Ireland – 19 July 2025 (9/10)

The location was perfect. Just outside the city centre and less than 10 minute walk to public transport.
The room was simple and spacious, and the bed was very comfortable.
Three staff suited my luggage on the day of my departure, which allowed me to see more of the city.
The staff were both helpful and polite.

What could be improved: Couldn't fault the hotel, as it was everything I needed for my stay.

  • Superb – Steven from United Kingdom – 14 July 2025 (9/10)

Clean and airy. Staff were great.

  • Superb – Hung from Slovakia – 13 July 2025 (9/10)

    Locations, price, staff

What could be improved: Parking was a little bit tight and it wasn't as clean as i would prefer

  • Superb – Ernius from Lithuania – 1 July 2025 (9/10)

Good location, safe parking space, good breakfast

What could be improved: -no A/C

  • Easy access to the Metro, only 45min from the airport. The snacks and drinks selection was good. – Buck from Australia – 30 June 2025 (9/10)

A great breakfast presented by wonderful staff. Thank you. Very helpful desk staff, thanks, too!

What could be improved: We would have appreciated a better supply of English TV channels, such as English sport commentaries and English language news – BBC, Sky, ABC, CNN.

  • Good stay, great value for money – Liam from United Kingdom – 30 June 2025 (8/10)

Comfortable stay, large room, sauna and jacuzzi bath were great, ability to buy snacks and drinks at the reception, friendly staff

What could be improved: It was quite hot and there's no air con. A fan was provided however. The jacuzzi we had to fill and run once to clean out the system before emptying, rinsing and refilling for use. Location was good, but about a 30 min walk to get into old town center for the tourist sights.

  • We'd come back to this beautiful city and stay at Adeba. – Buck from Australia – 25 June 2025 (9/10)

Our room had plenty of space; bed was very comfortable. Breakfasts are very good – variety, friendly & helpful staff, nicely prepared food & presentation. The exterior of the building is typical of outer city but the interior is very fresh & inviting. Reception staff were pleasant and helpful. We had a good experience staying at Adena.

What could be improved: More English language TV would be nice – not just the news…

  • Superb – Val from United Kingdom – 19 June 2025 (9/10)

Very clean and bright, handy for public transport and very quiet. Breakfast had plenty of choice and the staff kept everything filled and were very efficient.

What could be improved: Although had tea/coffee facility in room, didn't actually have any sachets so had to buy my own. Not a major issue but just a suggestion. Also a/c not on and considering temp in the 30's the room was like an oven when we went in. Again not a major thing but would have been nice to enter a cool room

  • Superb – Stephen from United Kingdom – 16 May 2025 (9/10)

    Ease of check in.
The hotel supplied me a great take away breakfast for two days when I had to leave early for an excursion.
