Adalbert Ecohotel Overview

First Impressions

Walking into Adalbert Ecohotel, you immediately get this sense that someone actually cares about the details here. It’s not flashy or trying too hard — just a well-thought-out three-star place that feels more personal than most hotels in Prague. The eco-friendly touches are subtle but genuine, and honestly, the whole vibe is refreshingly unpretentious for a city that can sometimes feel overrun with tourist traps.

Location That Actually Matters

Here’s what I love about the location — you’re close enough to everything that matters, but you’re not stuck in the chaos of Old Town where tour groups march past your window at 7 AM. The Markétská address puts you in a real Prague neighborhood, and I mean that in the best way possible. You can walk to the major sights without feeling like you need a map for every single trip, and there’s actual parking here, which anyone who’s driven in Prague will tell you is basically a miracle. The fact that couples rate this spot 9.4 makes total sense — it’s got that sweet spot between accessible and peaceful.

The Room Experience

The room I stayed in was exactly what you’d want from a place like this — clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed without any unnecessary frills. The eco-hotel concept shows up in smart ways, like energy-efficient lighting and water-saving fixtures, but they don’t beat you over the head with it. You know what really impressed me? The attention to sound insulation. Prague can get noisy, especially in the touristy areas, but I actually slept well here. The beds are solid, and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without feeling cramped.

Breakfast and Daily Rhythms

The buffet breakfast is honestly better than it needs to be for a three-star place. They’ve got local options mixed in with the standard continental fare, and the coffee — well, let’s just say I didn’t need to hunt down a café immediately after eating. What struck me was how many guests seemed to know each other or the staff, which makes sense given that this place apparently has more repeat visitors than most hotels. There’s something to be said for a place that people actually want to come back to, you know?

Why Guests Love It

Look, this isn’t going to be the fanciest place you’ve ever stayed, but it gets the fundamentals right in a way that’s increasingly rare. The 8.9 rating reflects what you actually experience here — solid service, a great location that locals would approve of, and that eco-conscious approach that feels authentic rather than performative. If you’re the type of traveler who values substance over flash, and you want to stay somewhere that feels connected to actual Prague rather than tourist Prague, this place delivers. Plus, having your own parking spot in this city? That alone might make your entire trip smoother.

  • Calm and peaceful place. – Kamila from United Kingdom – 28 December 2024 (10/10)

I stay in Adalbert every year before Christmas, it is an amazing place, calm and peaceful and in beautiful surroundings. Good facilities, very clean, nice breakfast and friendly staff. I look forward to stay again!

  • Excellent option for the solo traveller by car. – Frank from United Kingdom – 20 December 2024 (10/10)

Clean (but small) room and bathroom, well heat controlled, 24h friendly reception and breakfast, room service staff, free secured car parking space, varied, good quality breakfast and coffee from 7-10am. Good value for money, next to a fantastic microbrewery and good restaurant (reserve a table in advance) and near to tram station to the city centre. 20nins from airport and city centre by car. Keep the good hotel going, highly recommended.

What could be improved: The mattress may be a bit on the hard side, not suitable for everybody. Something beyond the control of the hotel: the church bells are ringing from the next door monastery 24h and every 15mins: take your earplugs with you or buy them locally.

  • Superb – David from United Kingdom – 17 December 2024 (9/10)

Excellent value and a great location. Very helpful staff.

What could be improved: The coffee at breakfast is poor.
