Abitohotel Overview

First Impressions

Walking into Abitohotel, you immediately get the sense this is a place that knows its audience. It’s not trying to be flashy or pretentious — instead, there’s something refreshingly straightforward about this three-star property in Prague. The lobby feels welcoming without being overly formal, and honestly, that sets the tone for the entire experience. You can tell right away that this isn’t just another cookie-cutter hotel.

Location & Getting Around

The Chodovská location might not sound familiar if you’re new to Prague, but it’s actually quite smart positioning. You’re far enough from the tourist chaos to get a real feel for how locals live, yet still well-connected to the city center. Prague’s public transport system is fantastic, so being slightly outside the main tourist zone just means you’ll pay less for everything — meals, drinks, even just wandering around feels more authentic. The fact that there’s private parking right at the hotel is honestly a game-changer if you’re driving, which many visitors don’t expect to find in Prague.

The Room Experience

The rooms here strike that perfect balance between comfort and practicality. Nothing feels overdone, but everything you actually need is there and works well. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night — you know how some hotels in busy areas never really settle down? That’s not an issue here. The room design is clean and modern without being sterile, and there’s enough space to actually unpack and settle in for a few days.

Breakfast & Daily Rhythms

The breakfast setup is where you really start to understand why people keep coming back to this place. They’ve got the continental basics covered, but the buffet actually has some variety — including proper vegetarian options that aren’t just an afterthought. The restaurant area has this relaxed morning atmosphere where you can take your time, and the staff seems to genuinely remember guests who’ve been there a few days. It’s those small touches that make a difference when you’re traveling.

Why Guests Love It

Here’s what really tells you everything about Abitohotel — they have way more repeat guests than most other properties in Prague. That’s not an accident. Couples especially seem to gravitate toward this place, probably because it offers that sweet spot of being romantic without being overly touristy. The whole experience feels genuine, from the staff interactions to the neighborhood vibe. You’re not paying for marble lobbies or celebrity chef restaurants, but you’re getting something arguably more valuable — a place that actually feels like a good base for exploring Prague rather than just somewhere to crash between sightseeing marathons. Many visitors appreciate the apartment-like comfort and the well-equipped kitchenette available in select accommodations.

Prague hotels range from charming boutique properties in the historic Old Town Square to elegant castle-view hotels and modern accommodations near Wenceslas Square.

The hotel is great value for money – very clean, super helpful staff. The location was good for us (we were travelling to Prague for a congress). You have all you basically need in the room. It is near a big train station but we didn’t have any problem with noise.

What could be improved: The breakfast could have a little bit more options (especially for vegetarians), but overall it was ok.
