Aaron Overview

Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much when I first walked up to Hotel Aaron on Krizikova street – it’s one of those quiet residential blocks in Karlín that most tourists never see. But you know what? Sometimes the best finds are hiding in plain sight. This 3-star place has that lived-in feeling that makes you want to actually relax instead of posing for Instagram photos.

The thing about staying in Karlín is that you’re getting the real Prague experience without the constant buzz of tour groups. Krizikova runs parallel to the river, so you’re maybe a 10-minute walk to the water and those gorgeous views of Prague Castle across the Vltava. What I really loved was how easy it became to grab coffee at the little café around the corner (the barista there makes this incredible cortado) and then wander down to the farmers market on Saturdays. The tram stop is literally right there too – I mean, you can hear the gentle rumble in the morning, but it’s not disruptive, more like a city lullaby that tells you the day is starting.

The hotel itself feels refreshingly unpretentious. My room had this slightly worn wooden floor that creaked just enough to feel authentic, and the windows actually opened wide – which seems like such a small thing until you’re in one of those sealed corporate hotels where you can’t breathe real air. The staff clearly knows what they’re doing; check-in was smooth even when I arrived way earlier than I should have (travel delays, you know how it goes). The breakfast setup is simple but thoughtful – proper Czech bread, local honey, decent coffee that doesn’t taste like it came from a machine. I actually found myself lingering over breakfast most mornings, watching the neighborhood wake up through the dining room windows. There’s something about seeing locals heading to work, kids walking to school, that makes you feel connected to a place instead of just passing through. Sure, the WiFi occasionally hiccupped and the shower pressure could be stronger, but honestly? Those tiny inconveniences felt worth it for the authentic atmosphere and that 8.2 rating makes total sense once you settle in. If you want to experience Prague like someone who actually lives there – walking to hidden wine bars in converted basements, discovering the best goulash spots that locals argue about – Hotel Aaron gives you that perfect home base without breaking the bank.

To book a hotel in Prague during the famous Easter Market season, visitors should make reservations well in advance as the city attracts history enthusiasts and architecture lovers from around the world.

Reviews of Aaron

  • Very good – Mariia from Czech Republic – 17 July 2025 (8/10)

    Clean, great location, okay breakfast

What could be improved: The check in desk is not really 24 hours, I had to wait outside for 10 minutes at night so someone would let me in

  • Good service for the money, wonderful breakfast! – Kaljoedworkin from Hungary – 12 June 2025 (8/10)

Thank you very much for the early breakfast in the box. At the end the shower was also cleaned as I requested, the breakfast is fabulous.
I’ll strongly consider staying in your Pension next time I’m in Prague, thank you!

What could be improved: It should be somewhat more clean, but it is still ok. Reception shall learn English, no one speaks and that's not convenient.

  • Superb – Roman from Czech Republic – 14 May 2025 (9/10)

Very friendly staff, nice and clean hotel with very good breakfest.

  • Very good hotel – George from Georgia – 29 April 2025 (9/10)

I booked the cheapest room and they gave me the family one. It was huge, almost like an appartement. Breakfast was great and nice outside courtyard to drink coffee.

What could be improved: My friend accidentally booked 3 nights instead of 2. They didn’t allow to cancel that third night or get refunded, nor a discount.

  • Superb – Thanisorn from United Kingdom – 28 April 2025 (9/10)

Good breakfast and the room is clean. Location is central.

What could be improved: A shower hose holder would be a plus

  • Very pleasent stay – Anita from Serbia – 13 January 2025 (9/10)

It was pleasure and calm stay. Breakfast, location.
Its good place for short stay. I recommend it.

What could be improved: Stairs, older furniture should be changed in future.
It would be great to have rubber flip flops in room.

  • A super comfortable stay in Prague – Aria from Iran – 27 November 2024 (9/10)

The room was super clean and comfortable. The en-suite bathroom was clean. The breakfast they offered was amazing and included different dishes. Staff were super friendly from the beginning. The location is perfect, very close to Krizikova metro and tram station, with easy access to the city center through metro line B and tram line 12. It was also a great value for money. Highly recommended and looking forward to staying there again in my next trip to Prague.

  • Good place but charge extra money without letting me know – Ondrej from Czech Republic – 11 November 2024 (8/10)

    Location. Cheap for the service.

What could be improved: They charges mi more than Booking says. They say because of current EUR to CZK ration. But it was too high for that.

  • Superb – Yevhen from Poland – 10 November 2024 (9/10)

good location, quick check-in, neighborhood is nice, but a bit far walking to the city center, better to use metro, the station is nearby. We were staying with a dog, for additional payment (but not too expensive). Breakfast is ok, no complaints. Parking from the apartment was not available due to some external reasons, so we left a car on a street, parking is free on a weekend, so we just paid for a few hours on Friday, near 350 CZK.

  • Very good – Simona from Spain – 17 October 2024 (8/10)

    Tasty breakfast
