A Prague Apartment – Old Town

Prague, Czech Republic

Overview

First Impressions

Walking up to A Prague Apartment – Old Town on Dlouhá Street, you immediately get that “I’m in the real Prague” feeling. This four-star property sits right where the action happens — I mean, you’re literally steps from Old Town Square, but tucked away enough that you’re not dealing with constant tourist chaos outside your window. The building has that classic Prague character you see in postcards, but honestly, it’s the location that’ll hit you first. You know how some places claim to be central but you still end up walking twenty minutes to anything interesting? Not here.

The Neighborhood Advantage

Dlouhá Street is actually one of those insider spots that locals love — it connects Old Town to the trendy Holešovice area, so you get the best of both worlds. During the day, you can walk to Prague Castle or Charles Bridge in about ten minutes (I’ve timed it), and at night, some of the city’s best bars and restaurants are practically on your doorstep. What couples seem to love most — and trust me, I’ve seen plenty of them wandering around here looking completely smitten — is how romantic the narrow cobblestone streets feel, especially in the evening when the street lamps come on. It’s that perfect mix of historic charm and actual convenience.

The Apartment Experience

The apartments themselves feel more like staying in a friend’s really well-appointed Prague flat than a typical hotel room. Each one’s set up with a proper kitchen (not just a mini-fridge and microwave situation), which is honestly a game-changer when you want to grab fresh bread and cheese from the local markets. The decor strikes this nice balance between modern comfort and respecting the building’s character — you’ll find original architectural details mixed with contemporary furnishings that actually make sense together. The windows are properly soundproofed too, which matters more than you’d think in a city center location.

Living Like a Local

What I really appreciate about A Prague Apartment – Old Town is how it lets you experience Prague the way residents do, rather than feeling like you’re stuck in a tourist bubble. There’s a fantastic bakery two doors down where locals line up every morning — you’ll smell the fresh pastries from your window. The nearby Farmers Market at Náměstí Republiky happens twice a week, and you can actually cook with what you buy since you have a real kitchen. Having that extra space and the ability to come and go as you please makes such a difference, especially if you’re staying more than a couple nights.

Why Guests Love It

The location score of 9.9 isn’t just marketing fluff — it’s genuinely earned. You can walk to major sights without planning your day around transportation, but you’re also positioned to discover those hidden wine bars and local restaurants that make Prague special beyond the obvious attractions. Couples consistently rate this place highly because it gives you that romantic European apartment fantasy while keeping you connected to everything Prague offers. It’s the kind of place where you’ll find yourself saying “we should just move here” by day three.

Travelers should reserve a hotel in Prague at least two months ahead of their visit to ensure availability and secure better rates, especially during the peak summer season when the city hosts numerous cultural festivals and outdoor concerts.

This apartment was INCREDIBLE!!! It passed our expectations by far.
Stepan, the host, was very helpful, responded promptly and always tried to help.
The location was excellent, and very easy to get into it with the instructions.
The apartment was quiet, very clean, modern and had many accessories and amenities that were so beautiful, the decor was modern and hype. We loved this place, and would recommend it 1000%.
