7 Tales Apartments by Adrez Overview

I’ll be honest – when I first walked up to 7 Tales Apartments on Karlova, I almost missed it. The entrance is tucked into this gorgeous historic building that looks like it’s been there since medieval times (which, knowing Prague’s Old Town, it probably has). But once you’re inside, it’s this perfect blend of old-world charm and modern comfort that actually works, unlike some places that try too hard.

The location is what really makes this place special, though. You’re literally on one of the main pedestrian streets leading to Old Town Square – I mean, you can practically roll out of bed and be at the Astronomical Clock in three minutes. But here’s the thing most people don’t realize: Karlova gets absolutely packed with tourists during the day, like shoulder-to-shoulder packed. The genius of staying here is that once evening hits and the day-trippers head back to their buses, you’ve got this magical cobblestone street almost to yourself. I used to grab a coffee from the little café downstairs (well, there’s actually a few good spots right on the street) and just sit outside around 9 PM when everything quieted down – it’s completely different from the daytime chaos.

The apartments themselves are surprisingly spacious for Prague standards. I stayed in one of the larger units and you know what struck me? The windows are these massive things that let in tons of light, which is rare in Old Town where buildings are usually crammed together. The kitchenette was actually functional too – not just for show like in some apartment hotels. Though honestly, with restaurants like Lokál and U Fleku within walking distance (okay, everything’s within walking distance here), I barely used it except for morning coffee. One small thing that impressed me was how quiet it got at night despite being on such a busy street – they’ve clearly invested in good windows because the medieval party crowds outside didn’t keep me awake.

What I really appreciated was how the staff seemed to get that travelers want local insights, not just generic tourist advice. The woman at reception – I think her name was Jana – actually drew me a little map showing how to cut through Nerudova Street to get to the castle without dealing with the main crowds. Those kinds of details make a difference when you’re trying to experience Prague like someone who lives here, not just another tourist taking the same photos as everyone else. The 9-star rating makes sense once you factor in that location premium – you’re paying a bit more than you would in New Town or Vinohrady, but the trade-off of being able to walk home from dinner instead of dealing with trams or taxis? Totally worth it, especially if you’re only in Prague for a few days.

Reviews of 7 Tales Apartments by Adrez

  • Paula from Canada – 10 August 2024 (9/10)

The apartment was great, centrally located right in the heart of old town. Staff was very helpful and great communicators.

What could be improved: The street below is incredibly noisy all through the night as there are many restaurants and bars close by. Not at all the fault of the apartment- it’s what you get when you are so close to the action. Just bring ear plugs.

  • Lucie from United Kingdom – 23 March 2025 (9/10)

Great location , very clean , everything we needed for the trip

  • Hilal from Germany – 11 March 2025 (9/10)

Ambiens of the room and hotel. Location was in the center of Pouge. The room was big.

  • Jacek from Ireland – 3 March 2025 (9/10)

Perfect location in the heart of the old town with multitude of things to do around. Big comfy bed with too many pillows. The bussy street below the apartment didnt disturbed me in the night. Very good apartment for the price in euro.

What could be improved: if i have to nitpick anything would be the shower didnt have a curtain, making a mess every shower i took.

  • Biserka from Slovenia – 24 February 2025 (9/10)

Great location. Very lovely apartment. Style was just lovely.

  • Kate from United Kingdom – 24 February 2025 (8/10)

We loved the location, it was spotlessly clean, and equipped with everything we needed.

What could be improved: We found the two bathroom description a little misleading, as there is only actually one full bath and then another room just for the toilet and sink in. We specifically sorted our search by two bathrooms, because we really could’ve done with two full bathrooms.

Really don’t want to complain but there was a quite unpleasant smell of sewerage/drainage every time we walked in, coming from the half bathroom next to the front door.

Also, the hairdryer overheated way too quickly and made it very difficult to dry our hair, in a timely manner.

  • Itziar from Netherlands – 19 February 2025 (9/10)

Comfortable and clean. Ideal for a family of 4. Fantastic location. Easy access.

  • Maria from United Kingdom – 11 February 2025 (9/10)

The facility is clean and close to the town square.

What could be improved: Queries are never answered promptly and that although the apartment has made up for this there simply is no excuse for not being able to communicate well.with clients.

  • Doğa from Turkey – 15 January 2025 (8/10)

Location is perfect! Right in the middle of historical center. I stayed at Cindirella Apartment by myself so there was enough space. I didn’t use kitchen tools but there could have been some coffee at least. Finally not carrying a key around was wonderful. It was very easy to get in.

What could be improved: On the first night how water has been shut down and in the morning the heaters and hot water did not work. They acted immediately and fix the problem around noon but it costed me my half day of the trip.

  • Jeton from Germany – 14 January 2025 (9/10)

Everything was ok. Well done, good apartments, keyless system was good to. We'll be back when the weather is a little bit warmer
