Okay, so you know how most “penthouse” listings are total BS? Well, this place on Dlážděná actually lives up to the hype. I mean, when you first walk in, the industrial ceiling height hits you immediately – we’re talking exposed beams and those massive windows that make you feel like you’re in some converted factory space (which, honestly, you probably are given Prague’s history).
The location is what really sold me though. You’re literally a two-minute walk from Old Town Square, but here’s the thing – you’re tucked away on this quiet cobblestone street that most tourists never discover. I stayed there in June when the square was absolutely mobbed, but back at the apartment? Dead quiet after 9 PM. The building itself has that beautiful Prague facade you see in all the photos, but inside it’s been completely modernized. Five bedrooms sounds excessive until you realize how spacious everything feels – the main living area could easily fit twelve people without anyone feeling cramped. And thank god for the A/C because Prague summers can be brutal, and most older buildings don’t have it.
What I really appreciated were the small details that show someone actually thought about how people live. The kitchen has proper counter space (rare in European rentals), there’s decent water pressure in both bathrooms, and the WiFi actually works throughout the entire place. The industrial aesthetic isn’t just for show either – those concrete floors stay cool in summer, and the thick walls mean you won’t hear your neighbors at all. Parking was surprisingly manageable too; there’s a garage nearby that costs about 20 euros a day, which honestly isn’t terrible for Old Town. Check-in was smooth – the property manager met us right on time and gave us the real scoop on the neighborhood, including which ATM doesn’t charge fees and where to get groceries without the tourist markup. The 9.4 rating makes sense because while it’s not luxury hotel fancy, everything just works the way it should. My only minor complaint? The stairs up to the penthouse level will give you a workout, but I suppose that’s what you sign up for with these converted buildings. If you’re bringing older family members or have mobility issues, just factor that in.

The apartments is beautiful and our kids love this the most. Also the pool table. Place is big and clean with lots of rooms and beds. It had everything and washing machine.
What could be improved: Parking there is a PAIN in the A….
Please dont drive if you are going to this apartment. Also, dropping the bags off as the road is on the tram line. I think I might have gotten a ticket from the police as they took my number while we unloaded the bags.
