3 Epoques Apartments by Adrez Overview

You know what caught me off guard about 3 Epoques Apartments? The name actually makes sense once you’re inside – and I mean that in the best way possible. Most hotels just slap on fancy names, but this place on Retezova really does feel like you’re stepping through different eras of Prague, especially since the building itself has that gorgeous historical character you’d expect in this part of Lesser Town.

The location is honestly perfect if you want to feel like you’re living in Prague rather than just visiting it. Retezova is this quiet little street that most tourists walk right past, but you’re literally a three-minute stroll from Charles Bridge without dealing with the chaos of staying directly on the tourist trail. I actually loved hearing the morning sounds of locals heading to work instead of tour groups gathering at dawn. The apartments themselves have this really thoughtful mix of old-world charm – think original wooden beams and tall windows – with modern touches that actually work. The kitchenettes aren’t just for show either; there’s a Tesco just around the corner on Národní if you want to grab groceries, and honestly, making coffee in your own space beats hotel lobby coffee every time.

What really sold me on this place was the attention to detail that you don’t usually get in apartment-style accommodations. The beds are actually comfortable (I’m picky about this), the WiFi works everywhere – even in the bathroom, which, let’s be real, matters these days – and the check-in process was refreshingly straightforward. The staff clearly knows the neighborhood well; they pointed me toward this little wine bar on Kampa Island that I never would’ve found otherwise. Plus, and this might sound weird, but the soundproofing is surprisingly good for a historic building. You get the charm without hearing every footstep from upstairs. The 8.6 rating feels about right – it’s not trying to be a luxury hotel, but it nails what it’s going for. If you’re the type who wants to explore Prague’s cafe culture and actually cook a meal or two instead of eating out every night, this place just works.

Visitors often choose Prague apartments over traditional hotels because they provide more space, kitchen facilities, and the opportunity to live like a local in this magnificent Bohemian capital.

Reviews of 3 Epoques Apartments by Adrez

  • H from United States – 8 October 2022 (9/10)

Location was fantastic and was quiet in the evening after 11pm.

    What could be improved: NA

  • Laura from Ireland – 4 March 2025 (9/10)

We stayed in the 2-bed apartment and it was fantastic. Beds huge and comfy. There were plenty of towels, handsoap, washing-up liquid, dishwasher tabs, hairdryer, iron provided. Such a great location and felt safe. Would 100% book again. Small issue of a spot missed during cleaning which wasn't nice but everything else was great. Be aware there are steps to the apartments and no lift, so you have to carry your luggage upstairs.

  • Sokratis from Greece – 22 February 2025 (9/10)

Centrally located, right at the heart of the old town. Really spacious and comfortable place. Automated check in was really easy. Totally recommend it.

  • Maria from Spain – 13 February 2025 (8/10)

Very clean, the location is perfect
Quality vs price is also very convenient

What could be improved: Very noise, you can hear people walking upstairs and also in the street.

  • Travel from Germany – 7 February 2025 (9/10)

It’s absolutely beautiful, one room has a high domed ceiling, the other a high ancient painted ceiling. It’s big. Beds are big and comfortable. Bathroom clean. Kitchen small but functional. Entry code system works well and the place is right in the middle of old town.

What could be improved: Because of the amazing historic ceilings there isn’t noise treatment possible, so you hear people in the flat above. And thee is a bar on the courtyard that plays music until 10 or 11pm each night. This is louder in the painted room than the domed room and is the only downside to the apartment.

  • Ana from Portugal – 1 February 2025 (9/10)

The location and the apartment. Perfect is you want to be in the city center.

What could be improved: Just a sugestion: a toaster will be good and a tablecoth (or similar) to protect the table when dinning

  • Anne from Ireland – 31 December 2024 (9/10)

The location. Perfect. Nice big comfortable apartment.

What could be improved: I'm old. Many stairs. But it was worth it.
Kitchen bin did not smell ok.
A warning about the step from living room to passage..

  • Emmet from Ireland – 20 December 2024 (9/10)

    Unique and cosy

What could be improved: There was no soap in the upstairs bathroom

  • Ania from United Kingdom – 21 November 2024 (9/10)

Lovely big apartment in a perfect location. It had everything we needed for a long weekend. The beds were comfortable and the flat was well equipped. Everything was within walking distance, to all the attractions and restaurants.

  • Sara from United Kingdom – 8 November 2024 (9/10)

Great location, could not have been better! Very clean and large apartment. Easy key code access. Lots of heating and hot water. Great brewery below.

What could be improved: Small things but definitely needs scissors, mirrors, full length mirror, all of which would all make it better.
The main problem was paying for it which needed three different cards as bank security could not be passed because of how booking.com shared the payment details with the apartment company.
The little courtyard it was in was very very very dark at night once the pub lights went out!
